Although the filters in Kastty water fountains are often sparse, they must be replaced once a month. For this model, there are 8-inch filters available. 16-packs and packs. The fact that each filter comes with a foam block for the pump is an added bonus. Given that Kastty specifies a filter life of 30 days and a foam block life of nearly twice that, I suppose it's pointless to replace both every 30 days when they're already included. br>br>Although no instructions are included, the fountain itself does a good job of explaining how to use the filters. You're good to go for the next 30 days if you insert them with the flat side facing up. It's a little difficult to get the foam out because it's difficult to grab. Tweezers were included, but as with other models, they should be easier to use. br>br>The $19 price tag is occasionally lowered by available coupons ($13), but it's still an outlay that will cover the cost of the fountain in less than 18 months. But, hey, at least the little fur ball gets clean water, which isn't bad.
They fit in the Katy drinking fountain, so I bought them. Soon after using the white filters, my dog became ill. It could have been a fluke, but I stopped using the white portion of the sponge filter in the pump and only used the black sponge filter. I wish there was a filter like this that didn't have all of the weird stuff inside, because I have to rinse/ wipe the fountain and change the water once a day because I'm only using the black filter. (As opposed to multiple times a day if it were just a bowl of water)br>If I decide to use the white filters again, I'll post an update.
I looked everywhere for refills but couldn't find any, but these filters came with sponge filters as well! I'm in a wonderful mood. It is more convenient to purchase a single set of filters that includes both of the filters required for the fountain!.
Our two cats have really enjoyed this water fountain. It's a lot easier for me now that I don't have to clean and refill a water bowl every day. This unit is extremely quiet. The initial week - as a result of my own inattention - The water level had dropped too low, and the unit shut off. It started up again as soon as water was added. It has a clearly visible water level indicator, so I have no excuse for allowing the water level to fall so low. What I'll say is that the auto shutoff is a great feature to have and one that should be considered when purchasing a pump to avoid damage.
With four cats, we go through filters much faster than the recommended time. Purchasing in bulk is a good idea. It's understandable that the water fountain gets a little clogged with Himalayas and Maine Coons. As a result, the filter becomes overloaded. These filters can be swapped out in a matter of seconds. There's no muss, no fuss, and no messes. Four contented felines. If you're looking for a unique way to.
My kittens have taken to their new water fountain with gusto. Here's a shot of my Luna slurping from it. Cleaning and assembling it was simple. It's very peaceful, and my kittens enjoy it. It is something that I would recommend.
I needed to replace the black foam filter in my circular Wonder Creature fountain (shown), and they looked like they'd work from the seller's photo. Instead, they're about a third the thickness, with a lot of too-thickness. In the fountain, they have short "legs. " The round white filters are fine, but I purchased these to supplement my collection. expensive ones, especially for the black foam filters that come with the package. I'm coming back.
I had no idea I had ordered such a large quantity of them, but they seem to be doing their job well so far. I'll probably switch bowls because it's much easier to work with than the sponge type filters that I have to use in the other cat water filter bowl I have.
