They're on my two cats, and they're effective. I've read that it's caused harm to people's pets in the past. People and pets, like any other product, can be allergic to it. Remove the collar as soon as you notice your pet losing hair, itching excessively near the collar, or other signs of illness. A flea collar should also be worn loosely so that the powder can spread throughout the cat's coat rather than staying in one spot. Many people wear them far too tightly. Other collars cause severe allergic reactions in my cats. I started with the most expensive ones, which were the worst, and then I moved on to the Sergeants, which caused my cat's hair to fall out. This one isn't a problem at all for them.
This is the second purchase of these collars; the first ones worked well, so we're trying them again. We had issues with the ten-fold more expensive collars, but these collars work great and we haven't had any issues with them.
It clearly states that this is a two-pack in two places, but I only received one. I bought two because I was in desperate need of them. I can't rate the product because I haven't received it yet, but I'm not happy with what I got.
I'm not sure how long it will last, but it appears to be adequate. Soresto is much more expensive.
HARTZ is not a place to shop. Because of these collars, my sweet 2-year-old cat died in agony last night! He only wore it for a few days before our veterinarian came over in her PJs to assist him. His gums were turning black, he had blood clots all over his body, and he was almost lifeless. She rushed him to her office to get things started before we found out he had a seizure and died. His avoidable death has wreaked havoc on our family! HARTZ IS NOT TO BE BUYED! We'll file claims with HARTZ, the SELLER, and AMAZON in the hopes that no one else has to go through this!.
The fleas were not killed by the college.
It was ineffective. Both cats had fleas one month after receiving flea treatment on their heads, bellies, and tails, and these are house cats! For such a product failure, I would appreciate a refund.
