Questions & Answers

Is it $50 for a single collar? Is that what you're getting at?

I can't afford to buy four of these, so I'm considering the cheaper knock-off "Salvo." I don't want to buy this other brand because I've heard some dogs have negative reactions to knock-offs, but I don't have $200 to spend on four dogs! We have fleas all the time because we live in Florida! Salvo is also available in a two-pack, which makes it even more affordable. Should I try this other brand, or perhaps Bayer, if you're reading this? You could make these much more affordable, especially given the competition, and dogs will suffer as a result of low-income families being unable to afford your pet-care prices. I know I have one or two too many dogs, but I adore them and make sure they have the best of everything I can afford. Trust me, I've done my homework to make sure they have everything they require for the lowest possible price.

Has anyone tried this collar on tiny runts as well as 20 pound long-haired dogs? haireds? Is it effective in both cases?

We use these collars on all of our animalsbr> American Bulldog 75 lbs br>Corgi 30 lbs br>Cocker Spaniel 35 lbs br>2 cats br>Very much worth the money my vet said she can go a year on her pits so we tried this Yeap we buy once a year. We won't be bugging anything else, and we haven't had a flea or tick since we started three years ago.

Why is $54 so expensive? 00 collar in a can that is not the same as the $36 collar. What is a 00 collar? Is the cheaper one a knockoff and safe?

It was a fake that I bought from an eBay seller. When I bought the two I needed, the price was $35, which was a good deal. They reeked like moth balls, so I knew something wasn't right right away. All were sealed, but I've never smelled anything in the past three years of buying mostly from well-known companies like Petco and PetRX, and they've worked perfectly! I dialed Seresto's 800 number, and they gathered all of the information from my cans and determined that they were fakes. They sent me a return authorization form with a shipping label, as well as two new collars to help with the investigation. That's the last time I'll try to cut corners like that. Because of the weather, I have to buy collars faster than they can send them, but they claim they have a 5-year shelf life if they aren't opened. It's a much better investment than the topical, which is messy, difficult to apply to a cat, and that they lick off of each other, which is something I'm concerned about. I adore these collars and am grateful for Seresto's prompt attention and service. I hope that this information is useful. It's the first time I've been a victim of an online scam.

Two of my cats like to sleep on top of the comforter, while the third prefers to snuggle up to my neck under the covers. Is this something I should be concerned about? I can be reached directly. ?

I'm not an expert on this, but here's how it works. Chemicals (pesticides) are absorbed into the subcutaneous fat layer beneath the cat's skin in very small amounts. It is claimed by the manufacturer that it does not enter the bloodstream or any other organs. Fleas bite and die as a result. I can't imagine the collar posing a significant threat because it's a small amount and, according to the label, it's for animals weighing much less than a human. I'm not sure I'd let the collar come into contact with a child's skin, and it's best to wash your hands after handling it. Because we tried everything else and this was the only thing that worked, I'd say the fleas are the more dangerous. Hair loss, sores, diarrhea, or lethargy may occur in some cats, so keep an eye out for these symptoms. Remove the collar if you notice any of these signs. Some people who have multiple cats have said that they put collars on some of them, but not on the ones who were allergic to the product, and their fleas disappeared as a result. So, instead of putting one on the neck snuggler, why not just leave it off and see what happens?

This is a collar that no one should wear
3/5

If I had the choice, I would choose ZERO stars. I wore this collar on my cat for four days; it was loose enough that I could easily spin it around and fit two fingers between the collar and her skin. She was acting strangely this morning, so I went over to investigate. I discovered that the collar had irritated her skin and removed a significant amount of hair! Her skin is irritated and raw, with blood on it. We removed the collar, and I'll take her to the veterinarian tomorrow. This is a collar that I would not recommend to anyone!.

This is a fantastic flea collar! I was hesitant to buy this product after reading so many negative reviews and seeing photos of beloved pets with sores around their necks, but I took a chance and bought it anyway; I tried the expensive flea drops and nothing worked! Fleas had been bothering my cat for the past six months, and it was driving him insane! We put the flea collar around Kyo's neck right away, which was awkward for him because he never wears collars and he was acting strangely, but after an hour or so he realized what it was and within two hours he had stopped itching excessively
5/5

He stopped scratching two days after putting on the collar. For the first two weeks, we checked his neck every day to see if he was having an allergic reaction. He was fine, and he's been so calm and relaxed that he hasn't scratched in a long time. He's had the collar on for a month now, and I highly recommend it! If you suspect your cat will be allergic, simply check his or her neck on a daily basis. If anything changes or it stops working within the next eight months, I'll update this review. Oh, and the reflective pieces attached to the collars are fantastic! Unfortunately, my Kyo managed to break them. br>br>Update: At the age of five months, the collar stopped working. It was well worth the money, and I will purchase the product again. br>Update 2: I repurchased the collar, and the fleas died within a few hours, so I'm very pleased with it.

Tremors Can Be A Side Effect: When I put the collar on my adult male cat, he started exhibiting tremors in his head after about 48 hours
3/5

He was twitching his head and ears. Tremors are listed as a possible side effect for both of Seresto's main ingredients (imidacloprid and flumethrin), among other things. The tremors stopped after I removed the collar, which took about 12 hours.

Have you killed my cat? On my 14-year-old daughter, I put this collar on
3/5

a kitten of one month old He died about ten days later. He didn't seem to have any other problems. br>br>He was an outdoor cat who spent the majority of his brief life on our deck. He was bought to keep squirrels and other critters out of our garden, and he did a great job at it. br>br>This past summer, fleas began to appear on our clothing while we were on the deck, so I looked for the best flea collar I could find for my little garden guardian here - and the Soresto appeared to be the best. br>br>In his last 24 hours, all he wanted to do was be in the garage, and he didn't eat much. He seemed tired and meowed a little more than usual. For a 90-year-old woman, this wasn't unusual. a sweltering day in the summer br>br>The next morning, I went out to the garage to run some errands, and he was standing on the doormat - With his mouth open, he is not moving. He had vanished. br>br>I don't have proof that Seresto killed my cat. But, prior to his death, he was happy, healthy, and strong, and the collar is the only variable. I'm convinced that the collar poisoned my cat to death after reading other owners' toxicity concerns.

WARNING - Some cats are highly poisoned by this collar
3/5

WARNING - Some cats are highly poisoned by this collar. My cat had stopped eating, and by the time I realized it was due to the collar, she had already begun to suffer from liver failure. We're forcing her to eat in order to get her back on track. The label mentions dermatitis, but not the possibility of toxins causing your cat to stop eating. Cats can't go for long periods of time without eating, so keep an eye on your cat after you put this collar on and take it off if you notice any strange behavior. It could take days for her to recover from the surgery, so keep a close eye on her.

There's a problem with this batch. Seresto had never been a problem for me until now. Update: Because of the redness and widening sores, one cat had to have his removed after about three days. I decided it wasn't worth the risk, so I took it down. It wasn't a tight fit! The spindles had all been removed. It was delivered on Wednesday, and it was taken away on Saturday. The other cat has a red sore that is bleeding and is irritated. So far, I've removed two collars, and I'll remove the third as soon as she agrees. Here are some photos of the one where we attempted to use the barrier method with tape. Please don't sell them anymore. Animals are being harmed, which defeats the purpose of a flea collar in the first place. I'm going to try to get back. Seresto has previously been used on all three of our indoor cats. It's not an issue. This Seresto was just replaced after a Seresto was removed. So far, the other two cats appear to be in good health, but one of the larger males appears to be suffering from chemical burns and bleeding. We tried to save money by putting tape around the collars, but it will most likely come off tomorrow. Purchase from a different source. Purchase these items at your own risk.

Following our discovery, we attached the collar to our indoor car
3/5

After noticing fleas, we placed the collar on our indoor car. We expected hair loss and a reaction after reading the insert. After a few weeks, however, we began to notice significant hair loss and bleeding.
