And I was absolutely correct! It took her a few weeks to get over her fear of noise, but once she did, she was hooked on this mat. This is her favorite place in the house, which I've taken advantage of in order to get her to spend more time with me. br>The mat appears to be well-made, though the fleece top is fraying slightly. However, there is no shed, which is a relief given how much she enjoys it. The stitching has withstood a great deal of wear and tear. I have no reservations in recommending this mat to others.

My boy cat adores mats; he has a variety of them all over the house, and I keep buying more. I bought this to put on the carpets in my cat's room because he doesn't have a sheepskin-like material mat. Both of my cats initially despised this mat because the crinkly sound was too loud for them, and they would carefully walk around it, avoiding touching it. I was convinced that I had squandered my funds. I put it on my dining room table because my daughter loves to lay on the table and I figured she'd enjoy it up there. My boy almost fell off the table when he saw it up there, so it ended up on the couch and the bed before I finally decided to put it back in their room because at least my girl liked it. My boy, to my surprise, started laying on it, most likely because she did first and it had her scent on it, so he now likes it. If your cat enjoys loud crinkly things, this is a soft cushiony place for them to relax on.

Our cats were given a crinkle stocking for Christmas, and they loved it so much that we decided to purchase another one. And now they're fighting about it! We had no choice but to purchase a new one. It's a good size (even our chubby cat can fit in there). They knead it and are enamored with the sound.

This mat is a big hit with my cat. She initially refused to touch it, and when I placed her on it, she acted as if it were hot coals. She quickly moved on from that. I keep it in the corner of my bed for her to have her own personal space. Of course, she enjoys taking long baths in it while I try to sleep, but as long as she is happy, I am happy!.

The loudness of this mat irritated the cats greatly. It has a louder "crinkle" than most crinkle toys, tunnels, or mats. My coldest cat (the one who always needs to be in the sun or wrapped in a blanket) seemed to take to the mat after I left it in the room for a week and has now claimed it as her own. I'm not sure how long it will last. This mat is never kicked around or played with. The only girl does nothing but knead it, and it holds up admirably.

My cat, on the other hand, does not care for the matt. He isn't going to sleep on it, and he isn't even going to step on it. He doesn't like the noise it makes for some reason. I use it to keep him away from areas where I don't want him to go. I have two of them, so I put one on a table and a chair that I wanted him to stay away from. It's a cinch to use. Most cats would probably enjoy this, but my cat is unusual in that he will not even step on the foam bath mat in the bathroom.

It doesn't even come close to being a cat bed. When I first saw this item, I was extremely disappointed. It does have a thin soft layer on top that only appears thicker due to the crinkle plastic in between it and the matt's bottom part. When a cat lays on something, it presses it down to the point where there is very little space between the cat and the floor. I would not purchase this item again. A better actual cat bed can be found at our local dollar store, and we have done so. br>br>Just a tidbit of information. What a waste of packaging materials and space on the delivery vehicles! Whichever Amazon employee packaged this order wasted a very large long box just to place two of these very small matts that are only the size of a child's school folder in it, when they could have easily fit in one of their plastic delivery bags.

It is extremely popular among cats. They take it in turns to play with it or sleep on it. It's machine washable, which I really like. Now, instead of having to buy a new mat if there is a hairball incident, I can just throw it in the wash. I would strongly suggest it.
