Yes, you can machine wash the removable cover.
I purchased the warming cat pad and a shelter for my sister, who has a cat that has taken up residence in her yard, and she claims that the cat enjoys the self-warming bed and the shelter because she lives in an area with a lot of snow and cold temperatures.
The cover can be washed, dear customer. It is not, however, scratch-resistant. If your pet enjoys scratching the mat, place a toy above it to divert its attention away from it.
This cover is not waterproof, so please keep that in mind when purchasing it. As a result, we recommend that the urine pad be placed on this self-contained unit. To prevent a urine spill, use a heating mat.

My cat stood there watching me unpack his new bed, and when I patted it and called him over to inspect it, he sat down and took a long nap. Since then, he's slept on it every day. . . sometimes in the afternoon, and sometimes all night. It's become his new go-to hangout.
It's a good match for the enclosed living situation I've set up for them. Before I could get it out the door, it was claimed by my indoor beagle. I reordered two more larger sizes, one for myself and the other for the cats. I live in the northwest corner of Montana. The winters are long and bitterly cold! These are extremely effective.
It looks great on the loveseat in my house's back room. A sliding glass door with a cat flap is occasionally left slightly open in the winter, adding to the room's chilliness. The cats enjoy the warmth and comfort this pad provides, and it's simple to keep clean by vacuuming up excess fur and bits of dry leaves, dirt, and other debris. Excellent value!.
Edwina, my 15-year-old cat, was completely unconcerned about it for a week. I finally put it in one of her cat beds, and she now sleeps so soundly in it that she stays in it for hours. Simon, the younger cat (age 7 years), tried it out one day and seemed to enjoy it. Please note that it ASSISTS in keeping them warm (the winters in Connecticut are bitterly cold). However, I wouldn't use it as the only source of warmth for outdoor cats. So far, the fabric has held up admirably. I'm thinking of getting another for Simon because he loves hers so much.
Cat. As the weather cools, our cat's favorite "go to" spot has emerged - He enjoys lying on it (it is located on top of the couch) - in order for him to take his daily nap(s). br>I'm going to get him a second one for the foot of our bed - his favorite place to go out at night - As the nights grow cooler, he wants one for his room as well! If you're looking for a unique way to.
This self-warming pet bed was purchased to supplement a bed that I had already purchased. Moe the cat's previous bed did a good job of keeping him warm, but it wasn't as big or plush as this one. I'm currently sleeping in both beds, which are atop layered bedding, in an Igloo pet shelter on an enclosed, unheated porch. The weather in central New York has turned bitterly cold. I check on him every night, and he appears to be sleeping soundly. This product is excellent, and I would buy it again without hesitation.
I like the size of the mat because it allows my cat to lie down on it and stay warm.
My Monkey (a cat) has been sleeping on it since it arrived and appears to be very happy with it. It's on the couch, which saves a lot of vacuuming because it seems to attract shedding to the washable cat bed rather than the furniture. It's also reasonably priced, which is an added bonus!.
