Questions & Answers

Is it possible to remove the tassels without causing damage to the rest of the mat? I'm afraid they'll be swallowed by my cat. ?

I own two cats as well as two of these mats. If you want to get rid of the tassels, cut them off near the corner of the pad. My cats are unconcerned about the tassels - Simply fill it with catnip and watch them go crazy!

Please tell me what fabric you're using. Is there a bag of catnip included in the package? Is this a fat cat toy from the Vemont company? Is the zoom catnip available for purchase separately?

It's made of cotton and contains catnip. Petmate owns the Fat Cat brand. I'm not sure if selling catnip in its own right is a good idea. This mat is a big hit with my cats. I have a number of them in my house.

What are the mat's measurements?

It's roughly the same size as a large placemat. It's one of my cats' favorite places to sleep!

Where does this come from?

Hello Chris, I looked at the label and it says it's made in China.

A low-cost imitation
3/5

Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, The old Fat Cat Boogie Mats were in my cats' possession. It turned out to be wonderful. Until it was involved in a mishap. I had to toss it out in the end. Regardless of how much washing I did, it was never the same. So I decided to purchase a new one. br>br> Not only did I not get the one pictured (which was the exact same old one), but I also got a knockoff (guess where). It's absurdly diminutive. It is undeniably unattractive. It irritates me tremendously. br>br>Unfortunately, one of my little dudes is completely enamored with it. He immediately climbed up onto it. Why? Catnip. That is all there is to it. br>br>I'm out the money because I'm unable to return it. Oh well. Fabric, a sewing machine, and catnip will be used to make my own in the future. It's unfortunate that the quality has deteriorated. I'm guessing Fat Cat was bought out by a low-cost corporation. So sad.

It's cheesy and doesn't taste as good as the original
3/5

A vintage "Fish Can Fly" mat, made of what appears to be a cotton blend, can be found on the left. This new version, which is made of a nylon-like fabric, is shown on the right. br>br>The new version slid all over the place. While this slick synthetic fabric is ideal for flags, windbreakers, and sleeping bags, it's not something most people would want to come into contact with. In a side-by-side comparison, cats prefer version 4 to version 0. My cats and I agree: br>br> The original version is vastly superior. Aside from the cute graphic, I can make these in a flash with less expensive materials that are MUCH better. br>br>A standard pillowcase (Egyptian cotton with a high thread count) makes two larger pillows, and I can embellish them with ribbons, tassels, buttons, and whatever else I want. There is no need for the zipper. Because my homegrown catnip is much stronger, I only need to smear a small amount of it on the mat. br>br>No way, I'm not doing it again. Too cheesy for my taste. It's unfortunate that this product has fallen so far.

My little box turtle loves it as a bed
5/5

I recently purchased two more of these for my 17-year-old box turtle. I fold it in half and secure the two edges with safety pins to create a pocket for her. Every evening, she goes to bed in there. "Fat cat toy boogie mat" is one of her favorite toys. The first two have been around for at least ten years and are now beginning to fray at the seams. These two new ones should last the same amount of time as the old ones. I remove the catnip and give it to a friend who owns cats, then wash and dry the mats, and they're ready to use. I wash it every few months or so, and it still lasts a long time; I also cut the fluffs off so they don't shed in her container. These beds are fantastic!.

At the very least, get one for each of your cats! 👍

Our fur- These boogie Matt's are a hit with the kids! Although these fit perfectly on our dining room chairs, which our kids love to sit in front of the window, I wish they were a little bigger. In addition, I placed an order for four mats. I got two in the pattern that I was hoping for. 2 of them in a different pattern. . . I think they're all adorable. If the pattern you ordered is important to you, you should be aware that you may receive a different one. Finally, here's how to improve them: insert a piece of WAX PAPER into the Matt, then sandwich the catnip between the wax paper and the wax paper. the material zip up! After you see how much your fur-baby loves them, you'll want to get a few more. They are adored by babies! (I realize these are just slippery pillow covers, so I'm currently on the lookout for slippery pillow cases in the sizes and colors that I need. ) I'm looking for patterns. After that, simply add the batting and wax paper. It would be catnip to them if they attempted to make larger versions of this for our Maine coon. . . . So far, I've discovered that "ambesonne" sells pillow covers in the same slippery material as their fabric shower curtains, and that they come in a wide range of styles. sizes. It's not exactly the same, but it's a close second. Both of our children are enamored with the 20"x20" boogie Matt I created for them. I like how it looks next to the fireplace on the living room floor! Just a thought for the other do-it-yourselfers out there. res who haven't yet mastered the use of a sewing machine! (Optional).

It's a resounding success
5/5

Two paws up from Elvis and Mildred!   My cat, Elvis, also enjoys cardboard tubes from a roll of paper towels, so who knows why cats like what they like. My sister gave him this'magic carpet' for Christmas, and he loved it so much that I sent one to his Colorado friend Mildred! Elvis doesn't care for catnip, so I didn't bother putting any in; he just liked to sit on it at first. But it was the tassels and tags that he was after. He tackles the mat if I wave a plastic stick underneath it. Mildred spends the majority of her time in it, rolling around and appearing stoned. When you're trying to figure out what's beneath it, do you ever try to see what's beneath it I spent $150 on a $150 cat 'castle,' which he played with for about 5 minutes. This mat? He is still enamored with it two weeks after Christmas. It's also much lighter than the cat castle!.

These are a big hit with my cats! These tiny catnip mats drive my cats crazy
5/5

There are six cats in our household. I bought one of these mats to see how they liked it at first. They loved it so much that we had to buy more to keep the little beasts from fighting over it. The cats enjoy laying around on these mats now that the catnip has mostly lost its potency. They are also attractively colored. We don't mind them being strewn about the apartment because they're well-decorated. I would strongly suggest it.

This is the best catnip toy I've ever seen
5/5

My cat was completely enamored with the mat from the moment I placed the catnip inside. She began by rolling around on it, then progressed to a full-fledged assault. She tossed it around like a toy, turned it upside down, and clamped down on it with her hind legs. She finally slowed down to rest after several hours, but only for a few minutes before starting over. It's especially useful on the tile floor because she can slide it to different spots. It was absolutely fantastic. She didn't take it off for a full 24 hours! It's the best catnip toy I've ever seen. I didn't have to lift a finger as she played with it for hours. I'm guessing the quality of the catnip it came with had something to do with her reaction, but the size of the map is a perfect fit for her body, which I believe also contributed to her liking it. She finally tired herself out and slept on it all night. Years ago, I bought these boogie mats at a pet store, but I haven't been able to locate them recently. I noticed that some people were disappointed that they did not receive the one shown. The one I got is identical to the one in the photo. The red flowers are being sat on by a black cat.

Although this is a well-made cat toy, cats quickly became bored with it
5/5

Both of my cats were attracted to this cute toy right away, but after a few days, they lost interest. At first, I was completely enthralled by it. Observing them is amusing. Despite the fact that the yarn appeared to be well-made and safe, I cut it off like fringe. The design is adorable.
