I'm not sure what the heat reflective material is because it isn't specified in the description.br>All I know is that my cats like them and that they wash well.
That's what I believe. So long as the cat can lay on the soft side. I had to fold a few of them to fit into the bin I was putting together. They're what I use for the ferals I look after.
It's more effective when the animal is right next to you. It can be machine washed and dried on a gentle cycle. Memory foam, for example, can be placed beneath it. It is necessary to be close to the pet in order to truly radiate the heat.

Unfortunately, it makes a crinkly sound, which must have fooled my dog into thinking it was a chew toy, because it was completely destroyed in minutes. She's a 25-pound blue heeler/husky mix, so she's not exactly a big dog, but she had no trouble chewing right through this. As if my yard had blown up, I was picking up small tuffs of stuffing and the metallic plastic layer. It's probably not safe for a dog to eat; it might work for a cat or an older, more laid-back dog, but not for chewers or more active dogs.
I bought this little crate pad 8 months ago and decided it was time to write a review because it still looks almost brand new after constant use and weekly washing! It's ideal for lining the crate because it's soft and warm without being too thick, so I also have a soft plushy throw blanket in there for my dogs to use to create their own little "den. " br>br>I foster dogs, and this pad has been used by many of them to sleep and pee on. While my pet's beds and blankets have been chewed and torn, this pad never gets chewed up, or if it is, it holds up well because no evidence of chewing can be found! I purchased the grey, and as you can see in the photo, it's pretty much the same color, albeit slightly lighter, after many washes. Also, it washes out well, as it smells great after going through the laundry, and it doesn't have that musty old pet odor that some of their items have and never seem to get rid of. I would strongly suggest it. (I originally purchased this for a smaller crate, but my current foster dog uses a larger crate, so it appears to be too small in the photo. ) It's true to size, and it appears to work just as well in a larger space!.
Beefy will love it. Throughout the pandemic, we have been feeding and sheltering a stray cat. With the help of an old Igloo cooler and a magnetic cat door, we built him a shelter. The pad fits perfectly and is easy to wash. It's perfect for him.
I needed something to keep my feral cats warm during the winter, as I live in New Jersey, where it can get quite cold. I spent two thousand dollars on it. H heated kitty houses (amazing, but only 20 watts of heat, which is insufficient when the temperature drops below 20 degrees with strong winds). As a result, I determined that purchasing two warming mats to place inside the homes would suffice. The kitties, on the other hand, adore it and are rarely seen outside of their homes (except for when it's time for breakfast or dinner). I am very pleased with my purchase; it was well worth the money and investment!.
It is ideal for mildly cool temperatures, but not for winter temperatures if meant to be outside. It's worked well up until now, when winter temperatures are on their way. We're going to order a battery-powered heating pad to keep him warm during the winter. If you only want to use this product inside and don't want to use electricity, this is the product for you. This is a fantastic pad.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa When he's cold, the Boston terrier is a big baby; he's been on it for about a month and no longer shivers while sleeping. It's soft and fits well in his crate, but he chews on it when he's nervous. It has ripped a corner and a section of the stuffing has come loose. It will last a little longer if you use a sewing machine to repair the tear. To be fair, everything I've ever put in a dog crate has eventually lost its filling. However, for the price and comfort, I believe it is still worthwhile. I'll be satisfied with a year's worth of work. br>br>******update***
We were able to use it for two months before it became unusable. Although the concept for the product was sound, the material simply did not hold up. When the mylar material that reflects the heat inside is squeezed, it crinkles, likely hastening its demise.
So, this came in the mail yesterday, and it's a monster. Love it! For my Great Pyrenees, I purchased the XXLarge size. My dog wants to go outside all of the time, but if it's going to be really cold, I usually make him stay inside at night. I'm afraid I'll fall asleep after he begs to go outside one of these days, and I wanted him to have something to keep him warm if it gets too cold while he's out there. I live in Georgia, but the weather has recently turned bitterly cold. So I took it out of the box and double-checked that it worked. First and foremost, the fabric is INCREDIBLY plush - It was being hugged by my children. The bottom is textured to keep you from slipping. I decided to put it to the test and spread it out on my bed for the first few hours of the night. I could feel the heat, but it was only a soft, gentle warmth where my body was resting on the mat. When the dog demanded to be let out around midnight, I took the mat out to the patio and draped it over his bed. He was curled up on it when I went to get him a few hours later. As a result, I'm confident he enjoys it! Overall, a good buy, even if I wouldn't rely on it to keep my dog warm in extreme cold for dogs who aren't used to it. However, it's only good for a short time when your dog is adamant about being outside.
My Labrador Retriever, who is 11 years old, is beginning to show signs of arthritis. I purchased this pad in the hopes of keeping him warm on our chilly nights, and it has proven to be effective. It's not the intense heat of a heating pad, but rather a gentle, constant warmth. The pad is a little thinner than I had anticipated, and I'm not sure how it would feel on a wire- or cement-covered surface. kennel with a carpeted floor My spoiled Lab, Louie, sleeps on our settee, and the pad is just right for him. It's soft and cuddly, which he enjoys as well. The pad appears to be very easy to clean from the outside.
