Questions & Answers

What is the mechanism of self-warming? Is there any kind of bead or heating element in it?

Without any special beads or an electric element, this blanket is truly self-warming!

I have four orphaned goat babies, three of whom were rejected by their mothers; can I put them out in the barn without fear of a fire?

Cristi, your pad is fantastic. It'll be perfect for your children. There's no need to be concerned about fire because the pad can be placed on straw. It's amazing that it won't burn. I'm looking for one that's human-sized. ) Best wishes to you and your children.

When the animal sits on the crate pad, does it make a noise? Strange noises cause anxiety in my dog. ?

I don't use a crate, so I don't put it in one. Instead, because we lower the temperature in the house at night during the winter, I placed it in his bed at the foot of ours. It makes no noise and has held up well after being washed several times. When washed, it appears to be brand new.

Will a dog's crate pad keep him warm on a rainy day?

Yes. The pad appears to retain the dog's own body heat, which helps keep your pet warm. The pad is in a dog house with a door that we use. We use it in the cooler months of the year, such as the fall and spring. During the winter, we keep our dog inside. I hope this information is useful.

It took some time for the cats to get used to it, but once they did, they were hooked
5/5

I've adopted stray cats both indoors and out. Or at the very least, the mother who dumped the litter in my garage was a stray. br>br>I'll just talk about the two cats who live in the garage to keep this short. br>At first, they were skeptical and wary of this new item, and it sat unused for a few days. br>Expecting that I didn't put in their favorite box right away because I didn't want to frighten them away from their safe haven. We'd had a cold spell (we usually just call it winter, but this year we didn't get much of it) and had been sharing the same box at night for warmth. Alternatively, there's the sisters' box, in which she always claims the best spots. br>As a result, this was placed on top of the cat bead in the other box. During the day, it was too hot for them to share a box, so sister would kick brother out, and I felt bad because he wasn't sleeping in his box. I was about to give up when I discovered sister in her brother's box, using this mat, and having discovered its warming properties, I decided that brother's box belonged to her. Allowing brother to take the mat out of the now-vacant inferior box. So that's how I know it really works. br>br> Sisters have returned her original box, and both boxes now have one. I'm also enrolling my brother in cat judo to make him less of a pushover. br>br>Actually, I have two types: this and shag. The thermal reflector works in both, but I'm not sure which of the fabric types they prefer; I'm confident they like both. When the brother received his own mat, he went out of his way to show his gratitude by purring and needing it with his paws while staring at me, which was adorable. While the sisters' initial reaction was to simply stare at me. . . Why did it take you so long to get this for me, human slave?.

Pawesome Woofin' Woofin' Woofin' Woofin' Woofin' This is a fantastic product that I bought for my little chihuahua to keep in her kennel at night when she sleeps
5/5

As soon as I opened it, she was immediately enamored. The XS small fits perfectly inside her kennel, which I purchased. The fit is made possible by the slits in the corners. The bed is of excellent quality. I would strongly suggest it. I'm going to get another one for my bigger dog!.

This is fantastic
5/5

For my cat, I purchased an extra small. The 14" x 22" canvas is 14" x 22" in size. It also fits into her sleepypod air carrier perfectly. When the house starts to get colder, I always find her sleeping in there. I've had it for a few months and am completely satisfied with it. It was very easy to clean after she threw up on it once. I just tossed it in the washer and hung it up to dry. After that, let it air dry. I'm not sure I trust myself to put it in the dryer because it has a special lining that I'm afraid will get messed up. br>br>For myself, I got the largest size. It really does keep me warm in the coldest room in my house. I keep it draped on the love seat where I spend the majority of my time, and my cat will join me on the pad. It does not cause you to perspire. br>br> Yes, you will become overheated unless you insist on wearing a billion layers of clothing and blankets. br>br>I purchased the tan color in both sizes. I think the fact that these don't require electricity is a huge plus for me in more ways than one. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I purchased a few more of these pads for my furbaby's other beds around the house. She jumped into another bed as soon as I put one of the new ones in there. An hour later, I went to pick her up, and she was very warm and cozy. So, it does the job. Mom and the furbaby both gave their approval.

Cat adores her cuddly, squishy self

pad to keep you warm This self-help book was purchased by me. As a bed for the K, use a warming pad. H Pet Barn is a shelter I've set up for a stray cat I've named Mama Cat. It's of excellent quality, with a good thickness and anti-static properties. On the backside, there is a skid fabric to keep it from sliding around. Initially, I had the soft pad on top of a foam-filled travel pillow, but as the weather has turned colder, I purchased a K. H electric heating mat, which can be used in place of a travel pillow. Mama cat appears to like it, and she's been using it almost every night since I set it up. Even during the day, she can be found lounging in there. It collects some leaves, but it's very simple to remove the mat and brush it clean. I'm going to buy a few more so I can switch them out between cleanings.

In the evenings, we keep the house fairly cool
4/5

We didn't buy this to use as a crate pad, to be completely honest. We bought it to put on our American Bulldog's bed because her short hair doesn't help her in the winter. We keep the house cool at night because we sleep under a heavy comforter, but I wanted her to be as relaxed as possible. This is ideal for that application. We placed it on top of her memory foam mattress, and I can already feel the warmth in my hand after only a few minutes of her lying on it. We were able to find exactly what we needed! I'd just like to see a version that's completely flat, with no crate cutouts, so it doesn't twist up as much when she turns.

It's a shambles that can't be washed
3/5

A few years ago, I bought one of these and it was fantastic. I had an older arthritic dog at the time, so the warmth it provided was very welcome. I had no problems washing it once a week. Now that I have a puppy, I wanted another for the car crate. The original is still in use, and it is washed once a week. I washed the new one for the first time. To keep the mat from sliding, it has small rubber beads on the bottom. Hundreds of beads disintegrated in the washer and dryer! They've spread throughout the house at this point. This was never an issue on the original, and I'm not sure why the two are so dissimilar. The original is a must-see. The newer product is not something I would recommend.

Without the Snow, Strays This is the second one I've made: in search of a new outdoor cat? If he's going to be hanging out in my yard and eating my cat food, he needs a warm place to sleep
5/5

br>There isn't an outdoor electrical outlet in our house. Strange omission in the construction of the house. However, we no longer receive snow. Previously, we only got the tiniest dusting once every seven years or so. Frost is something we are familiar with. And these aren't the kind of cats who enjoy hanging out in my garage. br>It's best to use this item inside another kitty-related item. Whether it's a house or a cat, the choice is yours. When used outside, it makes a great bed option. br>It's also super soft!.
