Questions & Answers
Mine is on top of my dog's bed, with a blanket and a cotton sheet covering it. You can set the temperature of the pad, and it will turn off in 12 hours; I keep it on low because of the layers, and because my dog gets too hot at any temperature other than the lowest.
Because the pad is flat and measures 32" x 20," its placement in a bed will be determined by the bed's size.
approximately 5 ft
It can't be completely submerged in water, but it's fine for spills.

We have a 15-year-old dachshund who needs some TLC. We live in Arizona, and while our home is cold, he enjoys the fresh air. So, this was ideal because it made him feel better, and we are glad he is now a member of our family. br>br>Because we value safety, this pet heating pad is equipped with a thermostat that prevents the heating pad from overheating. When the temperature reaches the highest setting, the thermostat will automatically turn off the heating. Bingobr>br>It also has an auto power off function, so we can set it for evening and it will turn off at the time we specify; we leave it on for 12 hours. Simply love your pets and make them happy; they are your family.
I went from being a skeptic to a firm believer in this simple but highly effective product for my dog's comfort! It had a significant impact on his sleeping patterns.
This heating pad works fine, but I should have read more about it because it has a timer, which means you have to set it every time you use it, which is a pain. Yes, a timer is a good idea, but we have a couple of formerly feral cats who prefer to sleep in our garage rather than be inside. In the winter, I'd like to keep the pad on all the time. The kitties sleep on the heating pad when I go out to the garage, especially at night, so it keeps them nice and warm.
One of my cats is 15 years old and, while still active for her age, is beginning to show signs of aging. She also thinks she has the right to sit on my lap when it's cold outside. I usually don't have any issues when I'm watching Tee Vee or playing video games. I work from home on my laptop, and having a giant pumpkin on my lap can make it difficult to concentrate. This was purchased. br>br> The issue has been resolved. It's something she really enjoys. She was purring just laying on it this morning. br>br>I also like the temperature and timer controls.
I despise the way it works. It's set on a timer, so if I forget to check that it's still on, my little dogs will become cold. br>The temperature is set to 120 degrees Fahrenheit by default! If you don't mind being burned and don't mind being exposed to constant heat, this is the option for you. br>Simply go out and purchase something else.
DO NOT BUY THIS MATS IF YOU EXPECT A VERY WARM AND CUSHY MATS. It's extremely thin and not at all comfortable. The cover is flimsy and inexpensive. The heat is laughable; I'm using it to keep our cats warm on a covered deck, and even on the highest setting (130), it barely gets warm. It's mostly ignored by the cats, and it turns off on its own, which is inconvenient. It appears to be fairly durable, but that is irrelevant if it does not perform well. This mat is a complete waste of money.
This was purchased for my elderly blind dog, who sleeps in a makeshift bed that I've constructed for him. It's getting colder outside, and I'm sure the floors will be colder as well, so I figured a little heat under his body would help him feel more at ease. It functions admirably. I like that I can control the temperature and duration of the heat. And, just in case, it's waterproof.
Do not be hesitant! It really works. It's a big hit with my cat. To keep it clean and free of pet hair, I draped it with a small furry throw rug. My cat sprawls out on it, stretching and laying. During the cooler months, this is her go-to spot. It makes me happy to see her in such good spirits. I keep it at 105 degrees Fahrenheit, which is just above body temperature, and cover it with a rug. To the touch, it feels warm, but not hot. I adore you so much.
