My cat has given this item her seal of approval after thoroughly inspecting it for quality. It was a cinch to assemble. It's made of extra thick cardboard and has Velcro fasteners to keep it secure. It won't fall apart if you secure it as you put it together, and my cat was fascinated as I put it together. I'm glad she likes it (come on, it's just a box!). Boxes are extremely popular with cats. I like having something other than a random shipping box in my living room that my cat refuses to let go of because she's "playing with it. " The cutouts (for the door and the porthole) are also simple to take out. So there's no need for any tools, scissors, tape, or glue. Scratching boards were included, as well as a bag of catnip.
OK. However, I was irritated by the lack of instructions. Everything was pretty self-evident, and I was able to put it together fairly quickly. I admit, I was worried it wouldn't last long because it takes up so much room, but our not-for-profit organization's not-for-profit organization's not-for-profit organization's not-for-profit organization has very- social- furry- The capsule is a favorite of the cat. She now spends several hours in it each evening. That's fantastic because she used to spend that time alone in her room. a word of caution br>br> You'll want to sing Major Tom while rocking your cat while picking this up in the air. When you do this, make sure your husband isn't on a work-related zoom call. When this occurs, it is extremely humiliating.
This is so cute, both my kitten and adult cat adore it, especially with the catnip. I would advise the company to make a larger one for two or more cats, as the kitten tends to hog it and fall asleep in it.
This is a huge hit with my cats! They were all battling it out to get in. Our black cat is a colossal creature who doesn't fit anywhere. They also enjoy scratching it's floor. It has a lot of heft to it - The holes you see are from my children trying to play with it after the children had left, and they didn't destroy it (even though they usually do). This is something I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, sturdy little house for their cats!.
This kitty playhouse is made of thick, sturdy cardboard, but the Velcro strips made assembly a little difficult. My husband eventually used some heavy-duty wire twists and zip ties that I had on hand.
I like how thick the cardboard is and how the velcro fasteners keep it stable and sturdy. It was also a hit with my cat. The scratcher floor board inside was actually two pieces rather than one, which was the only issue we had. My cat was able to rip the pieces apart and start destroying the edges as a result of this. He eventually began chewing on the corrugated cardboard and causing a shambles.
We've already bought two of these space capsules for our cat, who is obsessed with them. She'll hide inside or behind them to pounce on prey, jump on top of them to get closer to the toy, or simply chill inside. Even better, she makes a clawing tower out of the rougher cardboard seams. br>Our cat is a claw-obsessed maniac. She likes to claw something when she greets us, or to show that she enjoys her playtime, or to let go of her pent-up energy while watching Cat TV. So it's fantastic that we now have yet another safe outlet for her clawing instincts. br>She doesn't really claw inside the capsule, but she's never been one for horizontal clawing anyway. She, on the other hand, enjoys ripping the fabric apart. The capsules are being shredded to bits as a result of it, but it's a lot better than shredded furniture, so we're very pleased with the results. When a capsule reaches the point where we can no longer stand looking at it, we'll replace it with a new one. And she'll continue to buy and replace them until she's sick of them. They are currently the best friend of a clawing cat.
This box is a big hit with my cats. It took two of us to put it together because it's easier to hold it while the other works on the straps, but I'm sure you could do it on your own. It would just take a lot longer.
