Only about a foot from the floor is the bottom shelf. We purchased two of them for our sunroom. The windows are approximately 28" from the floor, and the top shelf is perfectly level for viewing. They are a hit with our girls.
It stands 32 feet tall. Our two-year-old cat is able to jump to the highest level right away. It is tall enough for her to feel safe, and she frequently sleeps there because the platforms are large enough for her. It's the best cat tree we've ever had, and it's extremely durable.

I have two large male cats (a 16-pound tabby and a 20-pound Nebelung, a naturally long/heavy breed), so finding cat trees that they can comfortably sit on is a real challenge. For many years, I had a lower-quality cat tree that was about twice the height of this one, and my 20-pounder would occasionally cause it to tip over and nearly fall over after a particularly impressive leap. br>br>After moving recently and leaving my old cat tree behind, I decided to upgrade to a sturdier tree made of higher-quality materials that could also withstand nearly 40 pounds of chonk. This tree does not bother me in the least; It was precisely what I was looking for. It's also great that it's made in America and comes fully assembled, which saves me a lot of time, and the tree feels incredibly solid, like it'll last a long time. br>br>As you can see in the photos, the boys were immediately enamored with it. My 20-pound grey cat, who loves it because it's near a window and he can look out, spends the majority of his day sleeping on the top platform, where he can keep an eye on things, since we bought it. His legs dangle off the sides, as you can see, but he seems unconcerned about it. He enjoys sleeping on the middle platform on occasion. Above the middle platform, there's a hanging ball/bell toy that they occasionally use, and it appears to be in good working order and won't fall off. Cats can hide and pounce from behind the support legs at the bottom of the cat tree, which is ideal for playing with a laser pointer toy. They also use the tree as a scratching post, which helps to keep our furniture clean. br>br>Now that I've seen how much my boys adore this tree - which isn't particularly tall, but I purchased it because I had recently relocated and didn't have room for a taller tree - I'm going to get a taller one from the same company so they can use both at the same time and both gaze out the window. For my Main Coon, I ordered this as well as a small. She likes to sleep on it, so she decided to keep it. Very let down. The cat beds are too close together, and the sisal rope is too short; I ordered another from the company before I received this one. When I took the second one out of the box, there were tons of carpet fibers all over the floor. The carpet had rough edges and gaps where the wood wasn't covered x2. I made the decision to send it back. I would have to pay for return shipping, which was 115. 00, despite the fact that the product information on their website was inferior. A 20% restocking fee is added on top of that. I had to leave a message on the answering machine, but if you do decide to order, I recommend doing so through Amazon. This is a dishonest company that does not back up its claims. I'm thinking this isn't a Main Coon Company, either. Amazon has done a great job, but this company hasn't. I'd give it a 0 if I had the option.
Cats are familiar territory for you. "She doesn't despise it" gets a five out of five. a rating of five stars (An audible sigh of relief) I received the light beige shown on the product page. I'd say the carpet is a grade or two lower than shown in the photo, but it's still of excellent quality. Instead of the bird, the hanging toy is a whiffle bell, which is fine because it saves you the trouble of putting it together. Because the sisal rope is in a convenient location, she noticed it right away while testing the middle shelf. And because she's a big girl, she'll be able to stretch out comfortably on the floor. It's also a reliable source of information. I'm well aware that a flimsy scratching post can quickly deter a cat. The rims on the two shelves are particularly appealing. She's not going to fall asleep rolling over. Also, the middle shelf is in a great spot for getting to the top, and it's big enough for a 13. pounder.

I was blown away by the quality and stability of this tree. My cats investigated it right away, climbing on it and playing with the ball toy that came with it. It fits perfectly under the window and now provides the cats with a safe vantage point from which to observe the yard. There were strings from the carpet hanging off in various places that needed to be clipped before the cats ate it, but I'll take a little clean up work in exchange for a nice cat tree that will clearly last a long time. I also like that it came fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box. The box, of course, was an added bonus toy for the cats to enjoy:.
There was no need to put them together because they came in one piece. Our cats adore them because they're so sturdy. They're at the perfect height to watch the squirrels from our sunroom windows.
Because both of my cats enjoy sitting in front of my bedroom window and I don't have a lot of space, I was looking for a simple elevated bed.
