Questions & Answers
I've got a couple of chubby cats: ) and they have no trouble getting into the house.
Two adult cats, possibly three if they get along and it's not too cold outside. A mother cat and a litter of tiny kittens are most likely. If the cats are between the ages of six months and two years, I believe they can live up to four years.
I wouldn't use a heating pad that I keep in the house. Instead, I'm using a warming pad that can be used inside or outside and is activated by my pet's own body weight. It's available for purchase online.
I haven't decided yet. If they're all taken, It may be difficult for grown raccoons to get in because the front door appears to be small. Raccoons will not attempt to enter your home if food is not kept inside or near it.

We have a cat who prefers to live outside; she adopted us by sleeping on our front porch and never leaving. We used an old dog crate to keep her safe from the elements, but we wanted something nicer and more permanent. It was a breeze to put together, and she absolutely adores it. We like that the top can be opened for cleaning and that there are access points for the cat in the front and back. We agree with her and give it two paws up!.
Especially with two people, it's a breeze to construct. We have two indoor/outdoor cats as well as visitors from the neighborhood. Our cats prefer to sit on the roof, and the visitors haven't yet used it. The most extensive back-up plan Because this product is made of untreated cedar or pine, it's very aromatic, which isn't ideal for cats, but it should air out with the passage of time. The swinging door needed to be lubricated due to the cheap design, which was the second drawback.
Adorable. It is already being used by my TNR cats. Despite the fact that they recommended using a drill/driver, I was able to put it together with just a Phillips screwdriver. I sprayed a clear coat of sealer on the outside for added weatherproofing. Carrying it outside and moving around is simple for me. it's not too heavy There was an issue with the product being delivered to the incorrect location. However, after I contacted their customer service, they quickly responded and sent me a replacement house, which I received in just three days.
• It wasn't as strong as it appeared in the picture. To keep it together, we had to add extra screws. br>• The sides of the little "porch" are only held together by mismatched pegs, but my cat doesn't care for that, so I turned it over and lined it with garden fabric to make a basil planter. To keep it together, I'll need to secure it with a band. • I have cat mint growing in a small planter on the side, which my cat adores! • It's not a good place to stay cool in the summer. br>• I would have returned it if it hadn't been for my cat's need for shelter until we returned home.
On cold days, my outdoor cat retreated to her old home. I wanted her to be able to move around freely. It was fairly simple to put together. I used an electric drill to go about it slowly and methodically. I haven't noticed any leaks yet, but just in case, I'll add some weather stripping to the roof. Because mine didn't have peep holes, I'll have to make one to fit the electric pet warmer inside, as well as staple in reflective, bubble type insulation due to the thin walls.
The unit is simple to put together. Rain can get in through the back escape swing plastic door. br>Side planter box is only for show and is not functional; if you leave it off, air and water can enter through the holes. Because it is not solidly constructed, the bottom allows too much air and condensation to enter. br>After we fixed the leaking back escape door, Cat eventually settled in.
It's much more compact than it appears.
The instructions were adequate, but not everything was clearly labeled. It wasn't a problem because the box was purchased for an outside cat that we look after. It's been a few weeks, and she's only layed on top of it; however, I'm hoping that by winter, she'll be used to it and will go inside. It appears to be weatherproof so far, having survived Hurricane Ida in New Jersey. I'm hoping our outdoor cat makes the most of it.
