Questions & Answers

There is always the question of how bird seed can be grown without being eaten by wild birds. Is there anyone out there who knows?

Plants of millet have their own guard cat, trained to catch and eat any birds attempting to steal the plant. *br>Of course, that is the story.

What makes this spray millet so attractive to birds over the fat golden spray millet? I don't feed it to my birds. Those who are searching for fat golden millet will have trouble finding it. ?

Depending on the kind of Parrots you have, you will have to use different kinds of millet. For example, I find that my Cockatiels and even my African Grey Parrot prefer the larger sprays, since they are easier to get to, eating them as a whole. It is easier for smaller birds like Finches and Parakeets to eat millet that has tighter sprays that are thinner around millet, as their beaks are smaller. Just like us humans, animals have individual tastes as well. It is possible that some birds may not even be aware that millet spray exists, as opposed to having it in bird seed. It seems reasonable that if one bird/Parrot eats millet, then the others will be curious and may soon try it too. I am very knowledgeable about Parrots as I run a personal Bird Sanctuary which has been in operation for 30 years, and I recently lost my 35-year old Cockatiel named Sunbird.

Suddenly, the product I was buying is no longer available, prices have increased threefold, am I missing something here because my birds love it?

I'm here - Did you buy any Millet in the past? We have kept Millet prices extremely steady all year long and they haven't increased by more than 5% unless something unusual happens. The only time prices rise is when freight and fees to us rise. The prices of both have increased, and we are making every effort to keep them stable. If you choose the "Subscribe and Save" option when making your purchase, you will save 5%.

I wish the birds good health
5/5

Although I was hesitant to try so much millet after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a shot. That was the right decision for me! This time my box of millet was well packaged, and it was a good size. By fastening the ends of each piece together, the pieces stay put in the box, instead of bumping into each other. Even though I got the economy version, I found it to be better than anything I've purchased in I like it a lot better now. Of course, there are some loose grains of millet but that's to be expected when you're dealing with a pretty delicate grain. Then, I will collect them all at the very end and place them into one of their food bowls so they can still taste them while still enjoying them. I am very satisfied with this purchase and will definitely buy it again as long as I own bird species.

Millet is excellent! It's my pleasure to share what I know about my hobby, breeding finch and canaries
5/5

It is important to me to provide my birds with only the best care, and this millet spray fits right in with that. It is hard to believe that I haven't once received a stale or dusty box of millet. In my experience, all my birds grow up with their parents and they must be provided with fresh, healthy food. Especially It's not uncommon for them to throw out their babies for the smallest reason and poor nutrition is nearly as good as causing them to throw out their hatchlings. In truth, I am able to recommend this product for anybody who has.

I can't believe 1 year has gone by since then
5/5

The item was purchased for my cockatiel in early May 2019, so it has been about a year since I bought it. My dude had to chew it for a few minutes before he ate My first offer didn't work he refused to take it. He finally took it. "Too fresh" for my taste, I think. This is also explained by the fact that he had been used to old, crappy pet store gear and was confused by it. Today, he snubs the old stuff with his beak. This is amazing! I love it so much! It is difficult to understand why people complain about millet in the box that is loose. How about millet? Have you ever heard of it? For his food bowl, I use the loose material. I honestly don't see any harm in it.

It looks different, is well liked by the bird, and is a great price! It leaves something to be desired in terms of packaging, as stated in other reviews
5/5

In my small order (6 oz), I received an unpadded mailer bag, which had no cushioning, producing a large quantity of loose millet at the bottom of the this is true, I still received an abundance of millet on the sprays, and my cockatiel loves to eat the loose seeds from a special treat cup, so my response is not much of a loss. Furthermore, as other reviews have noted, the economy spray millet is darker in color, and the sprays are more tightly packed, giving the impression that the spray is less full. I have found that my cockatiel loves it just as much as the other variety, so neither of these create any negative effects. In this case, the differences in appearance are due to the fact that spray millet is a different type, not because it is bad. Plus, who cares if it suits the birds if it is good for them?
This product is highly recommended to anyone who wants to get a tremendous amount of good millet at a reasonable.

This spray millet is of the highest quality, at the lowest price
5/5

I've never seen such beautifully intact, uniform spray millet before. This time it was packaged carefully in a box rather than an envelope like I have been receiving it for years. Due to this, the nearly 30% that is often lost at the bottom of the package was not obtained My bird flock is almost completely intact. I have 18 zebra finches and a few parakeets. We will be ordering again in the near future. The pet store usually does not have this product, but it is better, more intact than what I see at the store.

It's not exactly thin, but it's good for the money
4/5

There are 2 Budgies & 1 bird in the house A little millet would have been nice. Overall, I think the product is pretty good value, but I'm probably not going to buy it again unless I'm forced to. Had a thin appearance but was not really thin. I think it's almost the same size as the regular. The spray I needed needed to be thin enough to fit inside my millet holder tube without cracking it up as I was I searched for the mini sprays, but could not find them. I expected it to be "similarly thin", etc. , but it's not actually. Overall, it's a fine piece of equipment. If you have larger birds, it seems to be a very good deal. Additionally, you will receive fast shipping! It would help to package the products in a thicker plastic bag with a zip lock to keep them fresh.

These beautiful millets are loved by the birds! This is big, fat, fresh millet that will be enjoyed by your pet bird! My Ringneck was so cute as he sat on a perch, holding the spray like an ear of corn, and very happy to have it! This millet is much better than the commercial kind, you won't be sorry, I promise! BirdDog Depot's staff is helpful, friendly and accommodating, and they're always willing to help

It won't be eaten by birds
3/5

The cages in which I keep the two types of birds differ. A parrot and a zebra finch. Apparently the bird seed has since gone to seed, because none of my birds seem to be The only problem is that I did not open it until the 30-day trial had expired. When I asked for a replacement, the seller offered to contact the person he got it from to see if the seller could send me one. The reason I told him to forget it was that I didn't want to wait and wonder about it. Other company supplied the items I ordered. These are the only things my birds eat on a daily basis.
