I'm not sure if the bolt is 1/4 inch or 5/8ths of an inch in diameter, but it's not too long to be pushed into a tree, and it's much better held in place with a metal washer and nut.
I believe that China is involved.
Hello, mine has been exposed to water and has performed admirably.
It's made of real grape wood from the California region. I have no idea where it's put together.

There is a lot to discover. But I'm not going to give it to her: It is natural wood, according to the seller. However, if the surface is stained, painted, or varnished to make it look more appealing to humans, it loses its natural appeal, which could be toxic to birds. That's how it looked to me: br>br> I noticed the perch was shiny as soon as I took it out of the package. Varnish? Brush marks appeared to run the length of the piece when I looked closely in good light. Paint? The end of the perch that isn't attached to the cage is flat, as it would be for anything sawed off from a branch, but the cross-section of the perch isn't flat. The sectioned surface should resemble a tree stump, with the "pulp" being significantly lighter than the dark "bark. " The cross, on the other hand, This section was much darker than I expected; was it a stain? Birds use their beaks and tongues to explore the world. To keep their beak in shape, they gnaw on wood. No bird should be in danger of ingesting potentially toxic substances on its journey. I wouldn't let my bird have it because I couldn't be sure it was all natural and only natural.
I've got a big cage with a lot of different perches. This is his absolute favorite; he is now much more active in his cage, climbing around it, but he always returns to this one, sleeping on it at night. He appears to prefer different widths of branch.
It appears to be painted plastic that has been made to resemble wood.
It quickly became their new favorite perch because it is large enough to accommodate both of them. The branch's various curves and thicknesses keep them interested while also providing support for their feet. It is also extremely durable. Overall, this is a fantastic addition to their enclosure!.
The feet of my green cheek conure are just right for this tree perch. br>br>I highly recommend it, and I plan to purchase more.
Terrible. IT'S FAR TOO TWISTY. It was so twisted that it no longer qualifies as a perch, and the washer surface wasn't even flat. Trimming was a disaster.
This is an excellent vantage point. I like that the thickness varies throughout so that my conure can have some variety. I can't say I blame him because he seems to enjoy it. Despite the fact that it costs a little more, I'll probably buy a few more because it looks nice and I don't think he'll chew it up right away. It's also a solid piece.
For my small bird, this is an excellent natural perch.
