Each of the five perches has a different texture. They're made of real wood and have no strange odor. They're a big hit with my birds.
I have three birds as well, and they can all stand on the larger "Y" perch while only two can stand on the smaller "Y" perch. However, because of the real wood perch, they are all thick, and each one is different thick.
