It has a diameter of one inch. It's ideal for parakeets, lovebirds, and cockatiels.
A bird travel backpack is something I've never seen before. Because the ends screw on to the sides of a cage, I'm not sure how you'd put it together. They are available in a variety of sizes, and one of them might be suitable for you.
Yes, but if perches and other toys' nails grow too long, this can happen. You can take them to an avian veterinarian and have them clipped for a very low cost! If you don't have access to an avian veterinarian, you could purchase one of the Pedi perches, which have a smooth side for the bottoms of the feet and a rough side that only touches their nails to help file them down.
Yes. The two halves that attach to the bar are only 1/4" apart on each side. My Budgies have 1/2 spacing, and even the largest, thickest one fits perfectly on the bars.

For my parakeets, I recently purchased a small 21" comfy perch. It fits in the cage and the birds can easily grasp it, which they enjoy. They'll be glad to have a nicer place to sleep now, even if the plastic perch that came with the cage is fine. I consider myself fortunate that I ordered the correct size, as the size chart on the website is incomplete and confusing. To begin, the thickness of the perch is classified as small, medium, or large. Small is 1/2 inch in diameter, Medium is 3/4 inch, and Large is 1 inch in diameter, according to my internet research. My small one, on the other hand, is 5/8 inch in diameter, so the actual diameter for all three thickness categories is 1/8 inch larger. Based on your pet's species, you should choose the appropriate diameter perch. You can set perch to cross the cage from one side to the opposite side or to the adjacent side, depending on cage size. Ignore other sizes such as Large 2"H x 7"W x 18. It's 5"D, which makes no sense. Choose the length after determining "Small," "Medium," or "Large" in one word. The perch is deserving of a five-star rating, but the lack of size information on the website deducts one star.
They appear to be well-made, and my son enjoys running along them while performing acrobatics inside his cage. The small size is ideal for green cheek conure feet, and this is his go-to for excitedly bobbing for attention because he can grip it so well (and I assume it bounces a little for added fun). lol. ) He likes to gnaw on it and wipe his beak on it, but after a month, the first one I purchased shows no signs of wear. I just bought a second one, and I'm sure I'll pick up a few more as his playground area continues to grow and take over my apartment! All rope perches/toys, especially if your bird is an aggressive shredder, are a safety hazard. Examine them for loose threads on a regular basis and trim or replace them as needed. They are, however, a great addition to the variety of standing surfaces you offer your birds in order to keep their feet healthy, so if you're concerned, consider placing them outside their cage.
The pastel colors of pink and purple are well chosen. This is a big hit with my conure. Be patient with your bird; my conure was initially afraid of the rope, but after a day or two, he warmed up to it. He now enjoys grooming himself on it and uses it to dry off after a shower! Excellent quality! The photos were taken after a month of biting and attempting to destroy it by a green cheek conure. The only disadvantage is that when the rope is pooped on, it is difficult to clean.
I bought two of these, each in a different length. We have a small Green Cheek Conure, so I ordered the "medium. " In the past, we've gotten the large size from local pet stores, but I wanted something that would fit her tiny feet better this time. These perches are not at all sturdy; bending and trying to set them causes them to droop, sag, and collapse. They fit her feet better, but I had hoped that they would be moldable and durable, but no such luck. I'll try the large size before giving up and returning to the local pet store.
They're easy to bend and attach. I have a few of these both inside and outside my two bird cages. a one.
It took a day or two for my cockatiel to adjust to the 'abnormal new item' in her cage. She soon put it to the test, and now she spends the majority of her time sitting on the perch preening. It's so useful; I haven't had to clean it yet, but I'm sure a quick wash in the sink will suffice.
This is where the cockatiel sleeps. Whether her nails are long (they still don't snag) or freshly clipped, she appears to be much more at ease and easy to grip. She is rarely soiled because she simply leans back for "bombs away. " It cleans up well enough to keep its appearance fresh. Wash and/or brush off in the laundry room sink; attaches to cage in a variety of configurations. It could be a tad more robust. My older one (less than a year) appears to be a little more flexible, but I simply turned it upside down and it maintains the shape I desire. This is a good product.
My parakeets spend a lot of time on the rope because it's durable and just the right size for their feet. They have a lot of fun running up and down the rope. After my local pet store stopped carrying this item, I ordered it from Amazon. It's a good thing it was the right size because the descriptions aren't exactly clear. It lasts for years, but it's worth replacing because it frays with age.
