It's safe for cockatiels to eat. Perhaps a tad on the small side for an Amazon.
I'm not sure who to contact, but mine came assembled; if the screws are embedded in the wood, all you'll need are some wingnuts and washers, or you can return it and have a new one mailed to you.
Fabrication should be relatively simple.
Hello,br>This bird perch is secured to the cage by nuts and bolts on the unit's exterior walls. It's a breeze to put together. It's also a hit with Fuzzy! I hope you find this information useful. Lisa G., I'll say good-bye for the time being.

I needed a place to let my new young Conure out of her cage that wasn't on my shoulder or head while I was working, and this is a great option. This is a sturdy piece that is well-screwed together. All of the components are made of thick wood or metal, so she won't be able to chew through them. My only complaint is a design flaw that is actually a fairly serious problem, which is why I gave it four stars. The stands on which the bird sits are all around the edge of the pan, just outside of it. As a result, they simply poop over the cliff. They won't actually poop in the pan, so be careful where you put this. And now I have to go out and buy a larger pan to put this in the middle of so the poo doesn't spill out.
Our 22-year-old cockateil took to it right away and now spends every night on his platform. Our pair of budgies took a little longer to get used to it, but now that they are, they spend all of their time on their platform! They are well made, and I believe that anyone who owns a pet bird should provide one for their pet's health and comfort.
I have four cockatiels who enjoy standing on their food boxes, so I purchased these platforms knowing they would use them. The only downside is that many birds like to chew wood, so I may have to sand them down occasionally, but overall, this is a great product. All birds are different, so don't assume they won't use them. Also, give them time to warm up to it because it's a new thing in their cage. They like it because it gives them a break from always per.
Update: This stand was originally given a four-star rating, with the caveat that it was a little more expensive than it should have been. However, only two months after receiving it, the wooden base has warped and the frames are snapping off, exposing sharp staples that may injure my budgies. Because the metal tray does not cover the entire base of the stand, poop/food gets trapped between the tray and the wood, I have to wash it every day. I don't soak it and let it air dry, but it appears that this stand isn't designed for daily cleaning, which is nearly impossible with four budgies, as the stand is covered in poop and discarded food after only 24 hours. I've changed the rating to two stars because I'll be looking for a new stand in a few weeks, which is ridiculous given the item's price point. Original review: br>br> Well- It's a well-made play stand that's also quite sturdy, but it's a bit pricey for what it is. The wood also has a cedar-like scent, which makes me nervous (because cedar is toxic to birds), but my family believes it isn't cedar. For my budgies, I added a few toys and swings, and so far they seem to enjoy it. I decided to use my own food cups next to it on top of their cage because the ones that came with it were a bit ugly and small. It was also difficult to put together because there were no instructions included and I had to rely on the photo on the Amazon listing.
I was afraid we'd lose him, but he recovered after I fed him by hand. I first bought a doweled corner perch, but it didn't last long and was difficult for him to maneuver. He spreads his wings and sleeps on the platform stand every night. He also feeds himself with it.
My Senegal and Quaker parrots both enjoy standing on this platform. It's wonderful to provide birds with something other than a perch to rest their feet on from time to time. They like to have a snack there as well, and it's also good for chewing. When we need something like this, I'll definitely buy it again.
That is precisely what I was looking for. Everything has been planned ahead of time. br>There are no instructions, but this image may be useful. br>In general, start with squared supports, then ladder the middle piece. Then there's the top perch, which is supported by round supports. I hope this has been of assistance.
For my conure, I bought this. It's ideal for small birds, in my opinion. It's a good size for my conure, though I could have made it a little bigger. Because the instructions were not well explained, putting this together was a bit of a challenge. There are pictures, but you'll have to guess which parts go where because they all look the same; aside from that, it's a cute play area for a small bird that's easy to move from room to room. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> Since I mostly commented on the assembly, I figured I'd update after actually using it. My only issue is that where the perches are set up almost always means poop and food will not fall on it, so I have to clean around it all the time. Furthermore, the perches are easily stained. I fed strawberries to my conure, and the majority of the perches have turned red. Aside from that, it's decent, though it could be better.
