This perch is large enough to accommodate my African Grey parrot. It is approximately 15 3/4" by 1 1/2" in size. I'm not sure where it's made, but it's essentially a wood perch coated in colored sand.

This perch is ideal for keeping my bird's nails trimmed and making his feet much more comfortable. I used to use those big cement perches, but they were too heavy, ineffective, and had an unpleasant texture. The colors are vibrant, and the hardware is well-made. It makes my bird as well as myself happy. br>br>** If this review was helpful in any way, please take a moment to let Amazon know by clicking the button below. She builds a nest and lays a new egg every now and then, and her behavior becomes even more bizarre than usual, with lots of head bobbing, aggression, and talking - She, on the other hand, only speaks when we are in a separate room. br>br>A good rough perch is required to allow the bird to fly as high as it desires while also wearing down its nails. Socrates has never used the perch to sharpen her beak. All I know is that if she manages to grab my hand with her beak, she flaps her wings and backs away until blood begins to flow from my hand. Gotta love the bird that bites the hand that feeds it. Maybe he's upset because we don't treat her like a woman. br>br>It'll set you back around $14. 00, you will receive a well-maintained vehicle. made of natural materials perch that provides a comfortable roost and keeps its claws sharp to a tolerable degree I suppose I should be glad she doesn't use the perch as a wet stone to sharpen her beak for better biting and slashing. Small mercies are a blessing from God.
We have three B's. G macaws. That can mean a lot of time at the vet's office, and I'd rather not be the bad guy and do them myself, though I have done talons, wings, and even beaks. br>br>As soon as we arrived, these perches popped up. There are three of them. There are three places to sleep. Old sleep perches were decommissioned and replaced with new ones. It was all the same shade of green. I didn't buy these for the color, so it's not my favorite. Exceptional quality. br>br> The word abrasive means "firm. " It was easy to install and no sand could be rubbed off. The hardware is of good quality. A wing nut, two washers, and a wing nut Easy to install, even on larger cages with more space between bars; the washers easily spanned the gap. br>br>Within a week, I expect all three of my guys' nails to be in better shape. This product is something I would recommend to anyone looking for a different way to deal with talon tips such as needles. br>br>I'm going to speak with you. David.
The first day we put it in the cage, my cockatoo ate it. It is made of wood and is wrapped in a sandpaper-like material. Nobody would knowingly buy a cheap piece of wood as a perch for a parrot, so this is very deceptive. br>It was a complete waste of time and money. This is something you should not buy.
It was for my African Grey that I purchased it. In less than 24 hours, he had completely demolished it. The send paper is adhered to the wood using a glue gun. Only parakeets may benefit from it. The quality is very low. For large birds, I don't recommend it. It is preferable to spend more money on a product that will last longer.
My African Grey parrot's nail tips were becoming too sharp, so I purchased this for her. I haven't been able to locate a perfectly ROUND, large concrete or hard surfaced perch for her to "naturally" trim her nails because they all appear to have that "wavy" pattern. Anyway, I bought it because it had a Grey on it in the picture. Her nail tips were too thin in diameter to aid her. It was so thin that it couldn't even fit on the cage's side. However, I'm going to try the LARGE to see if it works, and I'll update on that size later.
These perches are very nice. They were purchased to replace the basic wooden ones that I had sandpapered. It goes without saying that the coarse surface on these new ones will trim my bird's nails and make them look much nicer. I bought two of the small ones and placed them side by side in the cage; they adhered well to the cage's sides, and my bird immediately jumped on them. It will take time to see how they clean and weather, but they appear to be well-made and durable. My only complaint is that one of them is perfectly straight while the other is slightly bent. They aren't identical, as I had assumed. It's not a huge deal, but it's something I noticed. Overall, a nice addition to the cage of my bird.
We recently acquired a new parrot, and I wanted to provide him with another perch. This one came highly recommended by the person who sold us the bird. It's a good size, and it adds some variety (due to its larger diameter than the others). I believe our bird would prefer the medium size, but he enjoys switching between the smaller and larger perches. Despite the fact that our bird is a chewer, no damage has been done to the perch thus far. Exceptional purchase. br>br>.
