Questions & Answers

Do we need to put this ?

It is very easy to assemble, and there is only a little work involved. (Just a hint You could spray Pam on the wheels to prevent them from sticking to the snow.

What was the depth of snow that it cleaned or blew? You should buy it if you are considering it. ?

You have to be no more than six inches tall. Despite 9 inches of snow, the snow is struggling to stay on the ground. The heavy snow we had a few days ago had 12 inches of snow. I blew at 6 inches of snow and then once it stopped did the driveway again when it stopped snowing. The best size is around and up to six inches, according to me

Can you tell me what extension cord to ?

The experts say that a 14 gauge wire (12/3) is sufficient for 100 feet of runtime and to power 10 to 15 amps of power. There may be a higher cost and a higher weight for 12 gauge. 16 gauge may not be strong enough and might burn out the fuse or snap the circuit breaker. Also, I would recommend all weather (blue) extension cord, not orange cord. For 100 feet, I would recommend a cord reel. Wrap the middle of the 100 feet of cord around the reel clip and roll it up, so you don't have to unspool it for shorter

The thing looks like it can be hung on a wall for storage, can it?

Hanging this piece on the wall is not recommended In the event of an accident, the product will not survive

I like the little machine - very capable The photos can be seen here
5/5

There was quite a storm the thing had to contend with in its first test. Approximately a month after we purchased it (and a LONG cold weather extension cord that was nearly as much), we received about 4 feet of snow in the Washington, DC, area. The assembly was very quick and easy, taking about 15 minutes without the use of any tools. This is what I learned when I plugged it in As for what I like It has the ability to do about 10 inches of snow at a time. I pushed it as far as it would go around 2 feet (snow literally reached the top of the shoot! Snow was still moved, but it had to be bumped against a few times before it could be cleared. I still prefer this to shoveling snow. Through a blizzard during the day, it cleared my entire driveway in 3/4 passes In order to clear snow from the side of an average single-family home drive way, you would have to throw a great distance. The shooter is very easy to turn on and adjust. No need to go over powdery snow with a shovel, completely removes it. There is no need for batteries, and it is No once did it shock me or overheat, even when I continuously used it There is a lot of plastic in it, which I dislike. I am not sure how well the plan will hold up in the future. My first pass (I doubt that there was more than a half foot of snow) already had a shoot clip snap off. I found it to work just as well as a gas blower despite not being as powerful. If you allow the snow to melt a little, it will clog easily. Keeping yourself dry and safe will be difficult in the snow and slush. The following are some of the things I If you don't have an outlet near your driveway, then get a cold weather extension cord. And if you do have an outlet near your driveway, then you won't have problems. Knowing which way the wind blows will allow you to start on the opposite side of the driveway, blowing in the same direction as In other words, you'll just make it look like you did something. As a precaution against the powercord getting wet, I wrapped a piece of plastic around it. We are afraid of the idea of water and electricity coming together. As a whole It is recommended. As well as our parents, we purchased one for them. When a storm is approaching, you'll be able to proactively use it. Learn its limits and how to make it work for you!.

In this century, snow is blown by a snowblower
5/5

Being new to this task, when I told my boss how much money I had spent on the snowblower, he laughed I thought to myself, "hmmm, is this a Mickey Mouse snowblower?"? The winter of 2014 was filled with a lot of snow storms in New England, and my WEN 5662 snow blaster was able to handle them all. The snow blower may choke when the snow is wet, but you can clear the snow with your hands. By chance, some friends gifted me a gas-powered unit in excellent condition As noisy, smelly, and incapable of handling heavy snowfall as the WEN 5662, it was useless for snow removal! I may be abusing this device, but despite the wall of snow left by the plow, the WEN 5662 was able to cut through it. WEN has provided me with excellent service I laughed at my boss' remarks on how cheap it was, but it's clean, it's quiet, it's effective, and it's effective!.

This update is all you need if you usually have six inches of clearance
4/5

Having grown up in the old school, I am very old school. I will give you an old 2-stage snowblower and you can force your way in. It's true that I'm getting older, but Grunt, Grunt, Grunt. As a result, I broke down and purchased this snow blower from WEN. Our town got hit by a big storm this year that dumped almost two feet of snow in just 24 hours. It was about ten inches deep when I woke up. New and straight from the box, the snow blower had everything it needed to work. Plugging in my standard extension cord and hitting the button worked for me. While running, the sound is like that of a portable tablesaw. Make sure that you don't shout too loudly. This machine threw the snow up to a good 10 feet and seemed to do it effortlessly. There is one problem. The safety switch does not remain on all the time, and you will need to stop occasionally to reset it. It seems overkill to me to have a safety feature built into the switch. The handle is good, though, because the switch is on it. There is no doubt in my mind that you know what I'll do next. There is good news when it comes to this it is light enough to hang on a wall! A few things to keep in mind are to go out every 6 to 10 inches, and to blow with the wind if possible. A younger man will reportedly buy the beast in the not too distant future. . . Honestly, I don't really have a need for anything else. I'd like to add one more thing though Waving and being nice to the plows is the best thing you can do. They're doing what's right for all of us You should do what’s best for you, not what you should do. A POST-MODERN UPDATED My motor caught on fire about halfway through a 2-car driveway in 2017 with only two inches of snow. The yellow plastic housing is fine, and the main unit is fine as well. Prior to bringing the BBQ back into the garage, I had to open the unit to verify that the fire was out and contained. A message has been sent to WEN. After I sent WEN an email, they asked for details about the serial number, proof of purchase, and As soon as the parts were sent, I got a reply that they sent it. Things have been going well so far. Now we have a 3 star rating. The parts have been ordered and I will update when they arrive. *UPDATE
1/27/2017 was able to receive the replacement motor assembly. However, it is a used part? Why should we send a used part when it is so cheap to buy new ones? Since I'm doing all the work myself instead of sending the unit back, I'm saving them money. It is good to report that the motor is in and the snowblower is back in working condition. When I had it plugged in, it sounded This snowblower now earns a 4 out of 5 star rating. I am grateful for WEN sending the part, but I am disappointed they sent a used one.
