There is a possibility that it will work, but I am not positive. I put it on a TECUMSEH that was an 8 HP from Everything worked perfectly. If you know the model number of the engine, you can go to Jack Small Engine for the answer. Please visit www.com. Locate the starter on the parts diagram and look up the You only mentioned that it was 6HP in the number you posted. See if you can find another number for the engine on Amazon and then ask amazon to repost it and I will find out if it fits Jacksmall engine.
There is an 8HP model for this. Can you tell me what model it is? In this way, it would be confirmed that it would work.
There may have been an installation video, but installing it is very easy. As well as shims that align the teeth of the motor gear with the engine starter gear, it contains a chuck for fine adjustments. In the case where the old starter is still connected, the installation is extremely straightforward.
It is not only the screws for electric starters that we sell. The choice of the cutters

I figured it would be a quick switch, but ended up spending too much time. A screw holding the endplate in place was halfway out of the box when it was opened. This was probably the result of a lazy worker on the assembly line. The gear on the new starter was a little different in shape and had fewer teeth but the same number. I also noticed that it looked to be made of a different and possibly less durable In comparison to the original, the push button assembly featured more squared-off edges and mounting holes that did not match.
During installation, I found that the lower mounting bolts were much harder to thread in than the upper ones. Despite their close proximity, there is very little space between the lower tabs and the starter body. To turn the bolts you have to jam them in very tightly (keeping them square with the hole) and then use an open ended wrench. In order to avoid loose starters in the future, be sure to use Loctite blue. Approximately a quarter inch was off from the hole locations for the push button assembly. In order to get both screws in, I had to drill another hole in the engine cover. Thought everything was fine, I tried to plug in the plug included in the package and it did not A factor of the plastic case sagging caused the clearance between the ground pin and plastic top to be too small. It was necessary for me to cut some rubber from the cord's ground side in order to get it to fit well. The engine eventually fired up, even if it was noisy. It may be better to use my old starter gear since it engages the flywheel more smoothly than the new one. Neither the new mounting hardware nor the screws provided in the kit were used. Originally I had screws and bolts that were more suited to my needs. I would have given it two stars, but since the price was so much less than the original Tecumseh part, I'll give it I hope it lasts for a few seasons, as the quality isn't OEM, but the price is right.
I have no idea what the expected life of a snowblower starter is, but I was not expecting to need to replace it after just 2 years. R. I. P, my brother. January to March The period of 2017 to January.
When I push a button on my snowblower and the engine starts, I'm so happy! It takes only 15 minutes to install, and you are ready to go. The starter comes with hardware that allows it to be mounted to the block and the switch/plug is mounted A cable extension is included with the unit. It seems like a good buy to me.
I am extremely pleased with this starter it came quickly, was easy to install, and cost a third of the original Toro model. This book received a 4-star rating due to three factors. I used a new screw and an old one to mount the motor and it was fine. 2. The mounting bracket holes were closer than the motor mounting hole in the original. As the switch box on top is at an angle instead of being straight, it is no harm to drill a new hole, as it does not impact the quality of the switch. The fire started right up but we are not sold on durability yet - the snow has been gone for awhile so we will have to make an update later.
I was able to replace this myself easily. As a result of a defective starter, I was worried I would have to take it to a shop to have it repaired. My ability to load it up myself would never have been possible without the machine being able to run. In the end, I made the repair myself by purchasing the parts on Amazon. In just a few minutes (if that) I replaced the bad starter on my machine. Thankfully, it has worked well so far this winter and there has been a lot of snow this year.
We received our starter one day earlier than we expected. I like it. There appears to be a die cast starter gear instead of the original steel cut. Earlier this week, I checked the starter to be sure it worked before installing It was easy to align the bolt holes with the holes in the clips as they slid over the studs. As well as the screws that hold the starter switch, they were aligned correctly. In order to ensure it worked as intended, I started the snow blower with this new starter. As usual, a great job. With luck, I will be able to use the blower for another 10 years. If the warrantee is supported and the extended period of time is worth it, then I'd like to know.
Using the starter was nearly impossible because of the lack of space in the housing for the plug. I was able to get it working after some tinkering. We took it out for a test drive and waited for I can no longer use the starter after using it three times. I am in contact with the seller and will update you I have updated It is the seller's request that I have the starter bench tested before repairing it.
Basically, this was a replacement of the electric starter on my twenty-year-old In the year The older 824 XL Toro is still in use. The gears on the original starter had worn out after many years of use. It took only about 45 minutes to remove the old starter and install the replacement starter. Starting over works well for new users. It is definitely worth the price of.
