Questions & Answers

Is there a pair of shoes in the order or just one? 2. as shown in the image ?

The package contains two pairs of shoes.

Is this a two-piece price?

Yes, it covers both pieces and includes a variety of bolts and washers specific to your machine.

Are they compatible with the Ariens 921030 Deluxe 28?

Not in the best of circumstances. I bought them for my Deluxe 30, but I'm going to sell them right away.

Are these shoes suitable for a child of four? What is the center to center distance of a 5 inch bolt?

Yes. The first and fourth slots would both be used. , the third slot, and the fifth slot (but ignore the large round second slot with the metal cam). Because of the designbr>of the fully supported rear face and the undercut front face (which leaves room for bolts to not stick out), flipping it upside down later (to even wear) would shift units 1 1/2. Other measurements are: br>"Generic answer" br>"Other measurements" br>"Other measurements" br>"Other measurements Beginning at the left end and with the cam closest to the left end, 1 5/8ths with the cam turned left or 2 in with the cam turned right. Then 3 1/2, 4 1/2, or 5 3/4 inches, depending on the bolt size. br>Mine came with two sizes of bolts, all with washers, for a total of eight bolts. br>Please keep in mind that this isn't a complete list. Starting from the right end, for example, or not using the end holes at all, gives you more options. br>I believe "they" are incapable of adequately describing it and have not attempted to do so. br>On a spare unit 490-, I took all of my measurements from center to center. 241- Last year, I received 0010 at the end of the season.

Great product, but it would benefit from this tip in order to allow for future adjustments
4/5

These slide shoes are unquestionably superior to the ones that come standard with the vast majority (if not all?) of (all?) of the (all?) of the (all?) of ) snowblowers, which I strongly recommend. br>br>However, there is a flaw in the design that restricts future changes - Each shoe is outfitted with two washers. The first is thick and has an elongated slot for adjustment. It's a functional design. The other is a 5/8" flat washer that secures the shoe. The problem is that when you tighten the nut over the flat washer, it compresses the poly material used to make the slide, leaving a detent in the poly. You won't be able to adjust the height of the shoes again because the flat washer is always trying to stay inside the detent. I know because I've owned three pairs of these shoes, each with the same issue. br>br>The solution is to purchase a larger flat washer (about 1" in diameter) and place it under the supplied smaller flat washer before tightening. The 1" washer's larger size makes it impossible to make a circle. I'm not sure why the manufacturer doesn't supply a larger flat washer, because otherwise, this is a significant improvement over most machines' shoes.

These are a must-have for any snow thrower! These should be included in every snow blower! Despite the fact that I recently purchased a new Craftsman 24 inch snow thrower
5/5

One thing I didn't care for was the fact that the poly glides that came with it were significantly shorter than these. I rent a house built in 1957 with an original concrete driveway. The driveway was riddled with deep cracks and loose broken concrete, to say the least. I didn't want any issues with my new thrower because of this driveway. (I only intend to stay for a day or two) The last house I rented was only 5 years old and had a fantastic new driveway. I'm sure the shorter version would have sufficed, but Were no longer present. These Poly Glides arrived quickly (3 days) and came with all of the necessary hardware in a plastic bag (which I didn't use, instead opting to reuse the original hardware). The snow thrower has been sitting in the garage for three weeks, waiting for snow to fall. These glides are a perfect fit for the front and back holes. It took only 5 minutes to put it together, and 2 large flat tip screwdrivers to prop up the ice scraper 1/4 inch higher and racket down the poly glides. It's that easy. I drove the Craftsman up and down the driveway to make sure there was no problem, and everything went smoothly. I would strongly suggest these to anyone considering purchasing a snowblower, or at the very least, these glides are ideal.

Snow Joe iON 8024 fits, but wider washers are required
4/5

The secondary washers in this kit are too small, and they cut into the plastic, as Rick had pointed out. This small set would have been included by Arnold to allow for the most high and low adjustment points, but a second set of wider washers for machines that align toward the middle of the skid should have been included as well. Adding your own pair of 3/8" x 1/14" washers will, in any case, solve the issue.

From just north of Boston, in the midst of the winter blizzard - So far, everything has gone well! These are what I used to replace the skids on my Toro 521 snow blower
5/5

It was extremely simple to set up. They provide you with everything you require in terms of hardware. I needed to use the extra large slot because the mounting holes on my blower were 2 inches apart. The kit includes a bushing/washer that allows you to use the extra large slot, but I was concerned that, as others have mentioned, the washer would eventually dig into the skid. So I chopped the bottoms off the old metal skids to make a plate that would fit inside the new skids. (A photo is included. ) ) Since there wasn't much left of the skids' bottoms, this was a breeze. The mounting bolts' pressure is distributed over the majority of the new skid with these plates, which should allow for future adjustments. br>br>So far, the skids appear to be in good shape. After the season is over, I'll update my review. We'll see if they're long-lasting. These are getting a lot of use now that Boston is approaching 100 inches of snow.

These are even better than the originals
5/5

It took me far too long to realize that the snowblower's original slides/feet needed to be replaced, and I had no idea where to look for a suitable replacement. They're not only adequate, but they're also fantastic! They're simple to install and glide so smoothly that they're unaffected by concrete cracks. As another reviewer pointed out, the washers used to hold the slide in place can leave dents in the plastic, making future adjustments difficult to keep in place. However, they simply cut down the feet of the original slides to spread out the pressure and prevent the slides from becoming indented, as they stated. Because I don't have the ability to reduce the originals, I believe you could simply use larger washers to distribute the pressure. All of this, however, is insufficient to detract from the overall rating. They are a fantastic item.
