Type of domain The snowblower works very well. recommend that you do so. I'll walk you through it for everyone else. As I noted in previous reviews, this snowblower has a number of comments that are either neutral or negative. So, I thought I would tackle some of those concerns The package contains I was very upset to learn my box had been destroyed, because it was half of its full size, but fortunately, the unit had survived. It will require assembly, but this is a very straightforward process that should only take between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on one's skill level. Notes
Storage As the unit will not be used for most of its life, I figured I should include this information. It always feels like I have too much stuff in my two and a half car garage, and I can't find a place to put everything. I like this unit because the handle can fold over on itself and it is, for what it is, very light. With one hand, I pull out the folded unit from beside my car when it starts snowing in order to drape it over the trunk when it's time to plow. The deep in wall shelf is where I store it when it isn't snowing. There is a big bonus here that gas-powered models are not able to accomplish. This operation is It seems that there has been a lot of good and bad comments on the operation, so let's look at these in a few different ways. A power-packed message I'm sure this thing is stuffed full of it. My first impression was impressed by how well this unit was able to adapt to the new environment. The last snow (over a foot) motivated me to push the unit deeper and deeper until I reached the bottom. Despite doing better than expected, it still did not handle snow frozen and packed by a snow plow (this is understandable). *Brings a ball- A lot of people seem to be struggling with this area. This is not a self-propelled unit, so you need to keep that in mind. In order to succeed, you have to push yourself. It will have to throw more umph in response to the snow being shoved in its face. As I threw snow on a relatively mild snow day, I was throwing about 5 inches As long as I stayed behind it to feed it, I would be able to keep a pace of 10 feet. Many people complained that the neck breaking (I didn't have issues with mine, nor do I see an issue) and snow clogging were common issues. I noticed the inside of the assembly is slightly rough and I guess this could lead to clogging, but I have yet to experience this. I do notice the snow accumulated on the top of the unit eventually blocking the exit, but a quick tilt back and drop knocks it all off. In other words You only have to make sure that you use an extension cord of the correct gauge when you do those late night runs. The light looks like it was an afterthought on the design, but is actually quite useful when doing those late night runs. A motor that is not given the right amount of power due to an extension cord of too small gauge will cease to function properly. If you plan to purchase the unit, this is something to consider. You can expect to pay about $70-$80 for 100 feet of 12 gauge wire A $150 donation. For me, it did not cause any issues as I had one already. As a conclusion My favorite part of this unit is the little mirror. There's no right way or wrong way to cut My personal needs are all met with this software. I think I'll use it for a general year-to-year program. Occasionally I had to pull out a shovel to handle stubborn spots and small areas I couldn't reach because a cord had worn out, but I knew that was going to happen. I can easily put this thing away, lift it with one hand and store it on a shelf, where in comparison, I would be unable to have a gas blower since I don't have a place to store it for the 10 months I won't be It's the rubber blades that make me worry about the life of the unit, especially if you really push it. In all honesty, the only thing I dislike about using this thing is the need to connect an extension cord, but that's not the unit's fault. You should still consider this before buying an electric blower with a plug. Having the right cords at hand and power outlets mounted overhead (saving me $100) has made it work for me. It may be annoying from time to time, but it We recommend getting a bright color cord so that it doesn't get caught It is also imperative to use a cord that is suitable for cold weather. Ones that aren't suitable for cold weather will get stiff, hard to use and.
The 18" Electric Snow Thrower features a 5 Amp Motor and a Light. The first thing you need to understand is that this is not a gas-powered monster, so don't expect it to behave The driveway for my house has two cars, and there are During our first snowfall, it took me twenty minutes to shovel everything. So, I bought this. In about six weeks, we didn't receive any more snow because the jinx had been cast. I was looking for something inexpensive that would save my back and save me time. I got a chance to get to see how this performed after a nice storm brought over ten inches. This was not a disappointment for me. It only took me 30 minutes to clear everything. In order to get the best results, you need to not feed it too much at one time. I would push forward until it started to clog up, then pull back to let it clear, and then repeat, much like Spend the $400 - $700 on something that will keep going if you're looking for a fast-moving vehicle An awesome monster will set you back $6,000. you're looking to save a lot of money while still getting the job done, this is the way to go.
As of today, the unit has been delivered to me. There is a large collection of music I have- We use a drive snowblower in case we have large snowfalls, but we wanted something simple and lightweight when we have smaller snow storms. It just so happens that I live in Connecticut, and as God would have it, today was our first storm in fact, we are having another one as I write this. My first step was to unbox the product, assemble it (very easy), read the instructions, and connect a 100-watt power cable. An extension cord with a 12 gauge, 6-foot length, and about five feet of wire went into it We had a few inches of fluffy, light My first reaction was that it took a moment for me to get used to the performance of the unit, despite the fact that the little blower seemed to do okay This machine is no match for my gas machine, but I never expected it to be, nor should anyone expect it to be. As a result, after a few minutes the tone of the electric motor changed and the auger speed decreased. Additionally, I noticed that a faint odor of burning plastic and electronics was present. Over time, the auger speed decreased and the odor increased, so I continued to clear my driveway. A moment later, the auger/motor slowed to nearly nothing and dropped to an absolute halt. Despite the fact that the light is still on, it will not restart. Despite the headache inducing odor that was coming from the unit, I have a sneaky suspicion that this unit will not work again. After starting and stopping, the machine lasted from start to finish for about 10 minutes before it died. It would have been much easier if I hadn't destroyed the box (yes, stupid me), since I might not be able to return it at this point. I'll contact Amazon and Snow Joe nonetheless to see if they can assist. While I do not usually like writing a bad review, this device truly let me down, but I hope you.
While it was slow, it did a great job, but a 30 horsepower Bobcat would have been faster and easier. However, the total investment was $200 (extension cord included). reached the sidewalk all the way down. on the cheap side (did I mention it in front of a school and need to keep the sidewalks clear because I'm on a corner lot. So far, I have been pleased with my purchase as it will make my life easier. I can work after dark because the light is adequate, especially at this time of day. Here is the update from 2/11/19. The snow we have been receiving here in the PNW has made many freak out, but I am using it to clear part of my alley so that I can put out my trash cans. My purchase of this machine has been very satisfactory, and I recommend it and would certainly buy again. Gas engines are exhausting, so it is great to not have to deal with them.
