Questions & Answers

In order to clean out the front area chute of the 16" corded snow blower shovel, do you need any type of clean out tool device? You should only respond if you are sure. ?

Thank you for your question. I will review it. It is not possible to build up with a specific device. When you do clean out any accumulated build up, you must make sure that it A lawn mower manufacturer owned by Earthwise/American

The snow is being thrown in one direction only. Is that possible to change? Are there any changes? If so, what changes? It can take a hard left or right turn for throwing like a snowflake blower could?

I appreciate you asking a question about being LGBTQ. Baffles on this soft snow blower can be moved to the right or left, but they can't be angled 90 degrees like the chute on a larger snow thrower. A lawn mower manufacturer owned by Earthwise/American

Is it okay for it to be outside unprotected during the winter months?

I would not recommend exposing the motor of this unit to the elements for long periods of time because it contains an electrical motor. This unit takes up much less space than a hoover vacuum, so I keep mine stored in the back corner of my unheated garage all year. Prior to using any snow removal device, the outside temperature need to be at ambient levels. If the outside temperature is too cold, snow might As long as unheated covered storage is not an option, I would cover that motor loosely with a modified plastic tote to keep dirt and moisture out. The unit must be left to dry after being used to prevent moisture accumulation. If mechanical item is left outside unprotected in winter and/or summer, it will corrode, deteriorate, and rust. In the long run, they will no longer be serviceable. As much as possible, keep the area dry.

The manufacturer offers a warranty for this product?

I would like to thank you for your question, Jami. Besides the two-year warranty, the snow shovel is also covered by a product repair guarantee. A lawn mower manufacturer owned by Earthwise/American

12 things you need to know It is a powerful version with an amp cord

On a $39 wager, I rolled the dice and hoped for the best. Hours of operation 00 - I just received an order from NobodyLower here on Amazon, and I could not be happier. There was no harm done to the box as it still had the original tape, parts, and instructions someone had probably opened one flap accidentally, then changed their minds. I have not been a Prime member, but my order arrived within 3 days. Having missed the first day of mixed precipitation, today was the first day of it here in Minnesota. I'd guess there was maybe an inch & a half. When I got home from work, there was a foot and a half of snow on the ground. That's not such a big deal, is it? Yes, I know, but I got to try out Plugging it into a 100ft 12/3 blue and red "Arctic" cable worked perfectly! 'weather extension cord from US Wire (also purchased "open box" here at )I live in a townhome community where there are only two-bedroom units To reach the front steps, there is a car driveway and a small sidewalk. Though I am resentful of the need to use one, there is little to shovel. As a 56-year-old 6'2" male, was not worried about it being too short for me as the thing plowed through the snow with one hand. I don't like the sound of vacuums, and this thing looks like one too. There are a few directional vanes in the snow exhaust that serve more as a suggestion than something that is actually effective, so I have to be careful where I point it. Although I don't do well at estimating distances, I would guess you are around The debris would go well over the driveways of my neighbor Dave and his neighbors if I were to point it at his driveway accidentally. A second time, I did it by accident. I just don't know who lives next to Dave, so I shoveled his cord like a vacuum cord. )" "Sorry Dave, and I don't know who lives next to Dave. Like a professional does it, you need to have a good grasp of the technique. There's no doubt about it, snow shoveling is a far cry from shoveling. It took 13 minutes for the driveway and sidewalk to be completed. A year ago, I would have liked to have had one.

My old gas snow thrower was a good little unit, but this is much better
5/5

Snow throwing has never been easier with this electric snowthrower. This is the first item I bought that my wife laughed at me for purchasing. Once upon a time, I owned a large craftsman snowblower. One season I did without anything, and I knew there would be no way I would do another without anything. While doing some research, I came across this on Amazon. I was attracted to the deal and the price, so I decided to follow up on it. course, my good friend we were able to make it all the way until January without any snowfall. Here in my area it's very rare to get snow, but it came today. It seemed like too much snow for this little device to handle, but it was able to! In addition to the fact that it worked, my neighbors came over and were in amazement as well. The snowblowers were all there at one time or another - some worked, some didn't. I was throwing snow more than 25 feet from my tiny little electric snowblower. I wasn't able to clean out my drive, but it worked without any issues. I don't love the fact that it's corded, and it did get in my way up a bit, but it's something I can live While in some areas the snow was deeper, I had to make two passes, but by consistently using this tool I was able to clear My wife is also no longer laughing about my snowthrower, which is a great thing.

As far as I know, everything is going well
5/5

My husband and I just got the 16" power shovel last night, but it rained and snowed all day yesterday so it was a good test case to put it to the test. The assembly process took about 20 minutes to complete and was relatively simple. The manual provided is not very friendly and reading between the lines seems to be required, but overall, I would not consider it challenging. The first time I used it, I was able to test it on snow that was 3 inches deep with a hard glaze of ice on top. Pressure treated planks were used as the test surface on an even and level wooden deck. I had no problem with the unit executing well and shooting snow out quite a distance with lots of power in its throw without any vibrations going through or affecting the handle or user. The official recommendation for this unit is to use it for maximum 8 inches of snow, so using it on 3 inches of snow was almost insulting. With a shovel and no major effort on my back, I managed to clear the entire deck within 1/10th the time it would take me with the scraper. On two midsized wheels, the unit balances, and these wheels support the weight of the unit. This allows for easy transportation. There is some getting used to with the proper tilt angle where more upright to hold and push it so you can fully clear the snow and ground, but if there is anything uneven on the track in front of you, even by a fraction of an inch, it will get stuck. That was the case I encountered on my wood deck, where a few spots were uneven. By tilting it a little back, it can jump over the obstacle, or by keeping the tilt throughout the entire time, it will avoid this issue. Although the unit is designed for manual manipulation of angles and directions, I'd love to see a tilt option you don't have because we don't have an adjustable tilt option. But with some custom modifications you could definitely add it. It would be useful if the speed could be adjusted, since I don't need to trow the snow 30 feet away every time. again, you can't really expect too much for 80some dollars. It is inconceivable that this unit can be used on non-flat and uneven surfaces. As a minimum, if you try this on any of the larger cousins of this design, you will experience interruption or perhaps even destroy your auger, which is brittle plastic instead of the hard rubber the bigger cousins use in their chute-equipped designs. A small amount of snow still blows forward even when directed to the sides. After it was done, I left it in the garage until all the ice/snow on it melted away which was not much, and next day it was like Listed below are the pros and cons I was able to find Among the advantages Motor with a great deal of force Using this device, snow is thrown really far away as it spins really fast and very high speeds. Among the advantages Weighing less than 20 pounds Even though it has huge power, the weight of the unit is very manageable for a device with so much power. I wouldn't want to hold it in mid air to surface cut an object as large as twelve inches but it is easy to get between surfaces. Supporting wheels are a great help for pushing the unit around, as they make the machine super light weight. Among the advantages Replacement parts at an affordable price An online store of the American lawnmover company offers everything at a fixed price of $13 for all parts. The auger, belt, or scraper may be required regardless of whether you need the auger, belt, It means that the eventuality of losing your auger will cost you no more than $22 including shipping, as long as you can replace it by Among the advantages Its price tag is surprisingly low for a product from the 80s.
Con An auger made from plastic The brittle-looking and -feeling nature of the auger makes you very likely to destroy it sooner rather than later if you are faced with a store, thicker branch, frozen newspaper, etc. Compared to the whole unit, the parts price is lower. For instance, suppose you went lucky and didn't have any problems with it for a few years and decided to replace the magnetic auger, the scraper and the Including shipping, you will pay close to $50 for this item. In the end, the price was more than half the entire cost. It costs about 80some dollars for the whole unit. Do you think that it would even be worth purchasing new parts or should you just throw the unit away and purchase a new one. The damage I suffered from stray stone, rock or branch encounters will be documented if I encounter deeper snow and when I encounter deep snow and possible rock, rock, or branch encounters. At the moment, I would recommend it to my friends!.

The only control knob was missing, the customer service was "not awesome
3/5

" I bought this as A control knob was missing from the box when it was assembled on New Years Day. As I assembled it, I realized that the instruction page and individual parts are not well labeled, and I didn't realize that until I put it all together. Having to call them twice before a part was ordered, I just called again and got the runaround. I have been waiting for a part since January 3rd. It is the 15th of this month, and they want me to pay extra to rush a part they never even provided to begin with. The customer service at American Lawnmower/Earthwise isn't as good as I'd like it to be.
I'll update the star rating after I have had a chance to test the stupid thing out for myself. My current mood is one of frustration.
