It should have an Ohm of about 10 if the heater is 5500 watts and 240 volts It has an impedance of 11 ohms. Ohms are equal to volts squared divided by watts
As long as your hot tub uses 240 volts, it will most likely fit. Buy it from Amazon, then compare it with your old one after you've received it. The old one in your spa can be removed easily. There is always the option of returning it if it is different.

This heater has a 5kw power capacity. It would be perfect for the I replaced the original lock washers instead of the ones that did not come with it. Due to the fact that the studs don't have a fixed spacer, slight bending was required to align them. The old one could be removed and the new one installed without draining the spa and only having to remove one end of the heat tube assembly (some rushing water but saves a few hundred gallons of water). However, the GFCI still tripped for the first few starts due to tiny amounts of water around the electrodes that were barely visible. With a simple shot of a hair dryer, it was dry in no time and has been running perfectly ever since.
However, I stopped having issues with my spa heating after about 22 months of usage with this coil, which came in far shorter than other coils An installation of this spa can be found at Tiger River Manora. Here's a picture to illustrate Impedance measurements across the coil indicated a normal reading In my previous post, I showed this blow I sought the advice of a number of experienced individuals- Neither they nor the manufacturer can explain the condition in which this coil was in after so short a.
Having replaced an element on my Balboa heater with this item was a no brainer. I did the entire project in 45 minutes mostly walking to the garage to find a different set of wrenches or screw drivers. If you need to tighten the electrodes, use two wrenches so that you don't twist off the connectors. Remove the mating surfaces by cleaning them. I had to bend the pipe slightly with my finger after it had been fitted and inside the heater so it hit the side wall of the tube before reinstalling it in the tub.
It is not durable, and it took me more than a month to get this unit to work again.
To fit it into the manifold, I had to wrestle with it a bit. I used it for almost a month without any problems. In the future, the tub won't get warmer than 80 degrees. Another is on its way from a different brand, so we'll see how it goes. In the event that I continue to have problems with the heater, I will upgrade my rating since this indicates that the circuit board may be failing.
Although the price was good, the design was a bit of a letdown. It's important to hold onto the 3/8" open end wrench while replacing the element so it doesn't twist. If it does, you might shorten its lifespan. The mounting nuts were too close to the terminal stud, so there wasn't enough space between them. There was no space between the mounting nut and the terminal stud for my 3/8" wrench. It was necessary for me to go purchase an extra flat 3/8" wrench for the installation. There needs to be a thinner mounting nut, or the mounting stud needs to be extended On top of that, it works and heats. It says it's made in the USA, but it didn't perform as well as I had expected.
The basic skills necessary to work on a Hot Tub should be possible by anyone with basic tool knowledge. Installing this element was super easy since it replaced a burned out one. There is a warning that you should hold the end with one wrench while tightening the nut. My Hot Tub was back in operation in less than half an hour after I disassembled, replaced, and reassembled.
The image I had in mind was a little different. The product worked so I had to give it 2 stars. There's just a short window of opportunity.
