It doesn't have a rated voltage, as far as I can tell. It may be wrong, but I think it's a thermostatic switch, which opens (breaks the circuit) upon a detection of high temperatures. For my test (per the manufacturer) I poked my multimeter probes into the yellow connector when I disconnected it from the circuit board and measured continuity through the thermistor. It read 0 resistance, or open, when the water temperature in the heater manifold was Due to a failed open, the whole heater, including the temperature indicator, was shut down. It was as easy as removing the broken thermistor from the manifold with a crescent wrench, installing a new one with teflon tape around the threads, plugging the yellow plug back into the circuit board, and your computer is good to go! Having no problems with the heater now. Once again, we're dealing with a temperature system PVC can handle higher temperatures on a controlled switch and current can flow when it is exposed to those higher temperatures. The yellow plug on your circuit may carry voltage, so I guess you could remove it and check if there are any voltages across the pins that are connected to it. It is probably a 10 volt signal voltage (if there is a control voltage, which I doubt). Thank you for your time. I hope this was helpful.
As far as we know, this monitors the temperature of the water flowing
The fitting looks to be 1/2" npt, but Pentair should verify this.
I'm sure you can do it. It should take no more than five minutes

The heater started heating the water immediately after the replacement, easy to do. The service light turned off while the heater refilled The outer case of the heater must be disconnected from power and the water pressure must be released. The part has been ordered as a backup so that if it fails again, I will have it. The Pentair service representative said that it is one of the most replaced parts.
You should turn off power first or disconnect the power.
The reading for my MiniMax NT Propane pool heater was "HI" and it continued to do so even after restarting a few times. The majority of pool sites indicated the Thermistor is most likely to be the problem, so I did some research. replaced the old one with the new one when I received it. My system is working perfectly now after turning it on.
Thanks for the order. There was a "HI" message on the Pentair pool heater. Having been instructed by the technician to replace the probe, I carefully examined the way It was the same way to install the new one. I found the solution to my problem! difficult part was getting the probe to thread into the threads of the probe.
That's how it should be. Wire diameter is about 26 mm on this one In 28 ga. Several mice love chewing on thin gauge wire in my heater, so they don't worry about it and eat it. The wire on the original in my heater was 36ga, very thin and falling apart. My heater no longer drew power and started with this unit. Good quality, easy to install and worked like a charm. Once I installed it, it immediately fired up.
I have solved the problem of my spa heater. This is a very easy to install product. The heater was throwing strange codes before, but it was resolved by this replacement. An older model probably reached its end of its life as the temperature is read whether or not the heater is on. The breaker will be shut off if it is not being used to ensure that the new heater lasts as long as possible.
My problem was fixed after I ordered this sensor. The cost is very low and the process is very easy to complete.
According to my manual, it could be one of two things-a bad control board or a bad probe thermometer. After looking in my manual about "where" this part was, I located it in my unit. Since this part was just $17 and some change, I figured I'd at least try it before buying a $250+ control board. As soon as I took out the old one (power was shut off at the breaker, of course), I plugged in the new one. Installed this unit and it's working perfectly. The issue has been resolved. The first thing you should try if you're getting an incorrect reading for the water temperature in your Pentair Heat Pump and it won't turn on is this option.
