Questions & Answers

A new one was installed, but the code is still e01. What was the color of the old part on the stem? It was aqua blue? As for the new one, it does Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Unfortunately, there is no way to do that. Neither I nor anyone else knows why the coating is blue. Is it possible that both your sensors are defective?

This is the first time that I have searched for datasheets with resistance curves for Does anyone know where I can find Thanks a lot! ?

There seems to be a problem with the link. Normally, a sensor of this quality would cost around ten dollars. The impedance is 10,000 ohms when the temperature is 77 degrees Temperature increases lead to a drop in ohms. At 104 degrees, it should be about 5k.

The part I'm looking at will work on my system Is the sr200 the right heater for a swimming pool?

A SR400na and an SR400p are in my possession The system has been operating like a charm. The 200 I do not know about. Besides being cheap, the part is also easy to install You might save money by doing this instead of paying a pool guy who will charge you

What will pentairthermistorp/n 42001-look like Is it possible to use 0053s to replace part number ?

A sensor ordered from the site above DID NOT fit my Pentair heater in my order. After I enlarged the mounting hole, I discovered it would not work, so I had to drill a larger one. There was no part number for the sensor that worked. It came from Amazon "The Pool Guy" and did not have one on the label. Flue Gas Senspr was the name of the device.

A Pentair pool heater displaying an E01 error has been fixed
4/5

The Pentair pool heater I have stopped heating, initially displayed scrolling temperatures on the control board, and then displayed an error code of E02. We called pool service to schedule an appointment for the next day. It would take five days for a service person to come out to evaluate what's broken, then to order the parts. Google helped me to locate the error codes. The thermistor was bad, and the solution was to replace it. I ordered a part from Amazon Prime. It arrived the next day. A couple of valves were closed in order to cut off the water. You need to remove the side access panel, two screws, and screw it into the inlet pipe inside the heater. The heater has a little plug with two wires that screws into the inlet pipe. The unit is easy to replace - Disconnect the two wire connections from the terminals, unscrew the defective thermometer and screw in the new one. Reattach the wires to the terminals, open the valves, check for leaks, turn on the pump and check for leaks, turn on the heater. I need to buy a 7/8" wrench that will make this easier next time. Because of my deep socket, I had to use a long rod. I made sure not to tighten it too much. just as well as when it was.

A Master Temp 400 from Pentair should be installed
5/5

There was a temperature of A Master Temp 400 from Pentair should be installed. In the pool, the temperature was 72 degrees while the temperature was 126 degrees F. To replace the sensor, I had to unscrew it and replace it with the right one. With a flat head screw driver, I had to remove the water intake and exit panel. The socket I had was not long enough (only had a 24mm long socket, which sort of A $25 fix will bring a $2100 water heater back to life. Thank you (for my model, the sensor I replaced was in the upper left corner of the picture. A red arrow points to the direction of travel.

I was satisfied with the performance of the part and my problem was solved
5/5

I can't think of anything more I would want. Using propane, I heat the water in my swimming pool with a Pentair Mastertemp 300 pool heater. In order to better understand my symptoms, I first ordered a Pentair 77707-a As the symptoms matched, it was probably the Thermal Regulator. I called Pentair about the problem and once I described the symptoms, they suggested that I replace this component. The problem I experienced was that the water temperature began near the correct temperature, then quickly shot up to a very high temperature so that the water heater didn't operate. To replace this part, it took me about ten minutes to slowly turn and unscrew the part after I removed three screws to remove the cover. Then I put the part back in within a few minutes after I fixed the high pressure release valve I installed. Each time I reset the wrench I think I was able to turn it 180 degrees. I turned on the pool heater and there was no indication of rapid temperature rise that would prevent it from starting. The solution worked. I'm happy. It is now possible for me to utilize my Pentair Mastertemp Pool Heater again. A third of a decade of use is supposed to be the breaking point for this part.

The 126 error has been fixed
5/5

I was getting an error 126 on my Pentair pool heater. This solved the problem. When I first checked for a problem, I was told that I would have to replace the control board since I had verified the thermistor reading with an ohmmeter to be accurate. This was not good news to me since the $300 replaced control board was not sufficient to solve the problem. In any case, I invested in this replacement thermistor and had it installed on my own. The issue has been resolved.

Even though your heater does not show any error codes, does it still fail to heat the water? The item you are looking for is available for purchase
5/5

An older Pentair unit with 4 years on it. As a result of watching a few YouTube videos, I was able to determine the cause of my spa's inability to heat There were no error codes displayed on my Pentair heater unit, however, the water temperature did not increase. It occurred to me that the thermistor unit was the problem. In contrast to other videos on YouTube showing used thermometers in fair condition, mine looked a bit worn with what appeared to be I noticed that the new thermistor was exactly the same size as the old one after removing the side panel (with the inlet/outlet). (Read about others who had different thermistor sizes when replacing. ) It may be necessary to use a flathead screwdriver to help wriggle the connectors out of the old device.
With the use of an adjustable wrench, the old unit was removed and replaced with a Ensure it is tightened up to the depth of the pre-molded part The threads have been taped. After reinstalling the connectors, check for tightness. The whole process took about 15 minutes (slowly). The heater was fired up, and we had a nice hot bath!.

This replacement is an excellent match
5/5

Exactly what I was looking for. Rather than that , I used this. I'll also tell you who I am and why I replaced it. I found that the Pentair 400 was bursting at the start every time it was powered up. There was a lot of fear in the air. It turns out the igniter did not light up quickly enough and the gas was accumulating. By replacing it with this identical part, my problem was solved and the unit is now functioning normally. In addition to replacing the termistor (this part), which worked fine, I also replaced the heater tube. The corrosion I found when I removed it was pretty bad. Replace it as well so you don't experience a similar problem in the future. It was fast to get the part from the seller and I would recommend this item.

A pentair heater that had been cutting off prematurely has been fixed
5/5

Even though the spa only reached 75 degrees, the temperature of the heater spiked up to well over 100 I called Pentair and talked to a representative there who said I would need to call the local pool company. I called back an hour later, talked with another technician who immediately identified the issue. The part was delivered fast, easy to install, and we enjoyed our spa that evening. In the end, we should note that If the expert on the phone from the company will not answer, you could also call a second time to $20 and an extra phone call opposed to well over $200 in wasted time and a lot of waste of resources.

It was the only solution that worked for my pool heater that constantly believed the temperature was way too high and never turned What a relief to find Sta rite pool heater read too high of a temperature each time I turned it on
5/5

I replaced the sensor but still nothing worked. After replacing the circuit board, I still couldn't get it to work. Luckily, I found this as my last hope (and I only wish I had known about it earlier) and that worked instantly. It is relatively easy to install I needed a wrench that fit in a tight spot in order to do it. Apart from that, it is very simple for anyone who is even the slightest bit handy with a tool.
