It seems that whatever they have in stock that week, is what they use to build them! I had to install a gasket across the intake of my Water's Edge I have realized after a few hours of confusion that hot tubs are measured by the inside diameter of gaskets. Also, some do that sort of thing as well. A 2 1/2" gasket size and 3" thread size fitting fit my inside diameter of 2" and my gasket size of 2 1/2. One more hot tub company sent me a 2" gasket that was just a bit smaller than the standard sized gasket and wouldn't fit! I won't even begin to describe the pumps and the differences between the different kinds of wet ends, standard thread and fine thread! With these you have more to contact than with just the little rings. The expensive pliers you can get from Harbor Freight are the same ones they sell for a few bucks for oil filter pliers.
The gaskets on those joints had just been replaced just a few years ago, so this seemed odd to me. It turns out that I used cheap "generic" gaskets and this resulted in Luckily, the gaskets here are the right thickness and have the alignment ridges necessary for a perfect fit. A small amount of work has resulted in a leak-free hot tub. I learned that the best parts should always be selected.
They seem to keep up pretty well though, so I always keep some on hand.
Gaskets similar to those used on the heater inflow and outflow are available. The o-shaped holes are the proper size, however the raised edges To match the channel it was meant to fit, the original ring is square. There is a round raised o-shaped opening on these Each has a ring shape molded into it. My attempt at getting the seals to fit was futile, but I finally succeeded.
I love it.
