The answer is yes! Although it has a lot of power, it is not powerful enough to fill up As described, this would be suitable for pools up to 10000 gallons, however, it would be best for small pools. The problem is the factory cartridge filter has been so bad that it hasn't kept I personally feel a lot more comfortable giving my own pool a swim now that I have this Swimline pump and filter.
