With this review, I hope to be able to help more people than other reviews I have What you ordered was exactly what showed up, however the packaging was slightly We use it as our pool filter and it works great. We only needed to add sand to the filter with the pool we bought from Costco. The pool is a Bestway and the filter is by The pool does not contain any sand, and it does not clog up The picture I added is so people can see what the filter looks like.
A HTH brand sand pool filter was specifically requested for my Intex pool. A brand of filter, Aqua Quartz, that all reviews say "will not work with an Index filter, I got it. False advertising and $40 down the drain are the best definitions I can think of.
In a review, it was claimed that HTH pool filter sand worked very well It happened after I tried Walmart pool filter sand, which resulted in two cups of sand in the pool, clogging the filter, and restricting the pool's With a metal pick, I picked the sand particles out of the filter and re-set it up with HTH sand, and the same thing happened, but with a little less sand in the pool. gave up and used the cartridge filter that came with either of the Intex 18'x42" Easy Set pools. It works well when run continuously to keep the pool clean. It would be best to go to your local pool store and pay whatever they want for sand that will work. Resetting isn't fun. It takes setting up, pulling, choosing filters, and picking them out again. Sand is not something you should try and cut costs with.
I have received excellent service so far. I was able to use the sand despite adverse weather conditions.
These are the fish tanks I use for my fish. It needed to be washed just to be on the safe side, but I don't believe it needed it. Adding it to the tank did not alter the levels of my fish, and it did not kick up much dust. My goldfish enjoy sifting it, and there was no change in the amount of dust in the tank.
I have to admit that the old sand was so bad that anything that replaced it would be an improvement, but this stuff works great! In the end of the season, we encountered an algae bloom and needed to rid the pool of it before closing. Our estimate of 5,000 dollars for a new system was out of reach. So, we decided to start with replacing the sand. Thank God. A tight seal was achieved between the sand bag and the box it came packaged in, no leaking. Be careful with cutting the tape because I tore a bag open when I tried. I am pleased with how it is working so far, and we will see how it works over time.
It was the perfect amount to line my 30 gallon tank with two inches of sand. I found it a little difficult to clean but it was easier than some play sand. I was very pleased with my purchase.
