I bought this pump to replace an old one, but it stopped working after less than two In many reviews, people mention how quickly these pumps break, and the problem is that a small ceramic pin can very easily break. I'm not handy at all, but after watching a YouTube video for six minutes, purchasing a $2 part, and spending about fifteen minutes, I had the pump working again. Taking a part from the motor, replacing the pin, and making it all work again is extremely easy. Search YouTube for a video that shows how the problem can be fixed with a brass round bar of 1/8 inch. Adding it to your bucket list is a great idea!.

Over the winter, we didn't empty our pool and the pump was turned on about once a week since we live in Florida. Since March, the show has run daily. There were no issues in the least. Do not allow moisture to accumulate on the power switch. Our other property may be the next to be purchased. This is not the case with the original pump that came with the pool (1000 gallons). There is a 16' round pool at our house. Our pool was running quite a bit when we lived in Florida, and lasted about two The current one is a 1500 gallon, larger filter and I could not be happier with it thus.

When I plugged the pump in for the first time today, it shut off after a couple of hours and would not restore power. Today, Sunday, was the day for this incident. When I looked at the plug to see if it had tripped, I saw that it had. It will not reset even after pressing the reset button. Due to the fact that they are closed, I called the number on the lug and no one picked up. The fact that you are closed on Sunday is fine with me. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

A third attack in the past My next purchase will not be a Summer Waves product. In spite of drying the pump out and storing it inside, I had to buy another pump this year, making it my third year with the pool. The last pump had an expiration date of two weeks before it was gone and I had only gotten two weeks from season it cost 170 dollars, so a little bit of money has been saved, but I'm going to tear it down after this season and buy a different brand.

RECENT UPDATES We discovered that after a few weeks this replacement pump was not circulating as well as it should be and did not clean the pool of algae despite use of Due to this, I'm switching over to a sand pump for my swimming pool. I will never buy this again. If your pool is smaller, it may work just fine. The original pump gave out after a year, so I bought this to replace it. The Amazon price is the best. I was told this pump has more power, but I find it to be mediocre. The last one worked for only one season (on the original, the impellers broke off, so the fins were useless). Low water levels can cause a lot of noise, even when the water level is between the low- to the high level Water level at high tide. I saw an algae cloud going back into the pool after vacuuming algae up, which indicates that the filter does not prevent all algae from flowing back into the pool after vacuuming algae up.

I was able to replace the entire unit and it came with a new filter as well. The order was placed after noon and it arrived by 1145 a. m. A delegated was sent the following day at 30. I am very happy with how things are going.

It may be just the pool in which I live or the area in which I live, but I went through two of these at the beginning of the summer. The ceramic pin that runs down the middle of the pump constantly broke. As a result, we switched to a sand filter, but the same company, and we are very satisfied with that.
