Questions & Answers

What is the size of the pool pump for my 14000 gallon BestWay ?

You may be able to use it, depending on what the hoses are. The Summer Waves pool I own measures 12 feet x 30 feet and has one slide. I was able to use this pump because of the 25 inch hose opening. The hose adapters and threading tape I needed to purchase were both costly. As a matter of fact, it worked! I am a female who is 37 years old and I'm not handy at all, but I put mine YouTube has a video explaining how to do the project step by step. You may also want to take a look on Youtube.

The hoses are included with this unit?

You will get 2) 1 if you buy it. Screw fittings for hoses up to 5".

If so, do the plunger valves come with this product. I have previously purchased this item as an upgrade. I received the upgrade materials, but they appear to not be included in this listing. How are you?

This product almost certainly came with plunger valves, but I had to order Adaptor B Item # 10722 (3 of them) and item # 10849 (1 of them) in order to connect all of it

The pump works on pools that have the pump at the bottom of the skimmer. ?

The same is what I am doing when converting to this one. I'm just gonna plug the hole from the motor and keep the skimmer running, and use a double filter if I can if not, then I'll just use one filter. I have done some research, however it looks like it can be done with this pump. Scroll down and look at the pic to see how one person still has their pool skimmer on

The upgrade is well worth it from the 1000GPH unit

A pair of adapters is required. The pump was purchased to replace an OEM Intex 1000 GPH pump that died after three years of service. It is usually better to have a larger pumping capacity. The 1200 GPH model is more powerful and uses the B filter, but I already had a lot of A/C filters, so I decided to use this one instead. It is better to go with the 2500 if you do not have many filters. You won't have to pay much more for it. In my mind, it was unclear whether or not I would need The other side of this thing does not seem to be captured in any photographs. One that caught my eye had a smaller connection inside a larger one - it looked like it had been carved out Here is a photo of me. While skipping the adapters, I discovered that this smaller section was slightly too large to fit the smaller hoses I previously That's why I ordered 1 of them. The ratio is 25-1. Set of 2 hose adapters for type B hoses that are 5 inches in diameter. A larger hose is included with the new pump. Everyone is talking about the plunger valve, but what is it? IMO, it is not necessary, but the benefit outweighs the negative impact. It is configured to connect directly to your pool, though some people connect it to the pump. I've uploaded a photo over there so you can see how it connects to your pool. When you use it, you are able to turn a handle to shut off the water at the inlet and outlet, allowing you to change filters with less water loss or to replace hoses as The connection does not flex as much since it creates a 90-degree angle. This is an added benefit as it seems to alleviate some pressure on the soft pool side. Neither the light eye nor the timer uses a bulb. You just set the timer for a certain period of time, and it turns on at the same time every day. While the pump and housing look heavier duty, they make the same squeaking sound when they are As if it's going to die at any moment. In this price range, I will accept it for another three years if it's still available. There is definitely a difference in the amount of water coming out of My overall experience with this pump has been positive.

Once you have all the attachments you need for the smaller pools, it works like a charm! The wall mount surface skimmer I purchased along with the pool was included with my purchase of the 12x30 Intex intex pool
5/5

I was unable to connect the skimmer after connecting it. The skimmer didn't have sufficient suction to do its job (at least not enough for it to do so). The second hose intake was closed and the connection was swapped to the other intake, but it still did not A guy offering a YouTube video on how to figure out what I was doing wrong finally hit the nail on the head Despite the pool pump's strength, the skimmer was unable to move the water. He recommended that I buy this pool pump, so I did. In case you missed it, here's the important stuff The 1 pump needs to be purchased at the same time as the pump if you want to use it in a pool that is smaller than what it's intended for (like my 12x30). A ratio of 25" to 1 Adapter for type B hoses, 5 inches You are packing. As long as you have those two things, you're There is no way you could use the rotatable jet that comes with this pump for a smaller pool, since it is far too large You'll just keep it connected to the one you normally use. However, I still needed to stop the second hose intake from the pump in order to get the skimmer to strain hard enough to be effective, but after that it worked If your aquarium does not have a skimmer, there is no need to upgrade the size of the pump.

I used it to build our Summer Waves Pool with no problems! We recommend this pump over a replacement because it is better and cheaper! In the wake of our Summer Waves pump failing, SFX1000 failed
5/5

Almost as much as the entire pool was the price of a just a new motor! Having done my research, I find people tend to use this pump when they are in the pool. It was not just exclusive to the Intex Brand. At a fraction of the cost. The pump should be stronger as well. It is the right path to take! Using zip ties as extra support, we were able to connect the hoses easily. Since the new output hose was heavier than the old one, we had to hook it up over a few hours.

There will be a need for adapters! The pump has been running as needed since it was purchased recently
5/5

My main reason for posting this is to counter a wrong answer above. If you are upgrading from the stock 530 GPH pump that comes on some Intex pools (the 12' round metal frame, for sure) you will need adapters. I have found them to be fairly cheap from Intex (and shipping is included). I cannot figure out why they are so expensive on Amazon. (2) These are 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" adapters, and there will be two of them. You can purchase them for $5 each, part #10722C (With Two Pack). The Intex Kit Pool Maintenance Kit (Item #58958E $9) is also excellent. I am very pleased with the quality of construction, the three lengths of the telescoping arm, and the bottom vacuum that hooks up to your hose and works wonderfully. Don't fall for this trap While Product # 28002E looks similar to # 28002E, it is 3x as expensive*! Shipping for both items (they put the adapters in the skimmer kit) were less than $8.

A great product - I highly recommend it This is a highly recommended book! The inflatable ring was 15 feet in size in the blink of an eye I purchased the set pool and the pump it came with was inadequate
5/5

Several options caught my attention, and lots of reviews impressed me. Having paid nearly as much for the pool as I did for the pump, I was hesitant to buy it. On the other hand, I'm glad I ended up getting it. There is nothing better than this pump. Simple to use - The pump keeps the water circulating with ease of set-up, intuitive operation, and a powerful motor. The vacuum has excellent suction. Note that the standard 1 has been used here. Since most pools use 5 inch hose connections, you will also need adapters if your pool uses hoses of a smaller diameter. There are two of these Intex Adapter B on Amazon (also sold here), and they work perfectly. As a matter of fact, I recommended this pump to my sister, who also has the same pool, and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

You got a great deal! I really like the way this is working! That one comes with the pool is a lot better than that! In our case, it went with an 18'x48" round above ground pool made by Coleman (Bestway)
5/5

The kit comes with two new hoses and a new inlet piece, I didn't realize when I ordered it. Even though we could have used the inlet piece we had previously, I am glad we switched to the new one because it has an aerating feature that circulates the water more thoroughly.

It's amazing how much difference there is
5/5

With this one, you get a great deal more flow than the tiny one that comes with it. Although I had to buy the adapters and shut off valves, the job went smoothly. There is no doubt that this pump is worth getting. Things might change after I post my review, so I will edit it accordingly. The pool was in the front yard even though I did not want it. The wife insisted that it be.
