Intex 26643EG Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools, 10-inch

simply wasn't doing what I wanted it to do. Having been in my pool only for a couple of weeks, and with it continuously cloudy, I was already battling algae and dirt. Having searched for a pump for a long time, this one caught my eye. Since that was all I could find, I purchased a 10" Intex Crystal Clear sand pump. Even if it were only better than the paper filter pump that came with the pool, it would do the job. I am glad that only the 10" model was available, because if the 12" model was available, I would have spent the more money without any reason to do so. Having the 10" at my disposal seems to be working perfectly, and it can clear up my pool within 24 hours of setting it up. It did require me to go to the pool store and purchase two hose adapters (I have included two pictures of these adapters) so that the hose could be attached to the pump. All in all, it was not a hassle, and there are no leaks or leaking parts. There are 2500 gallons in our pool. In the case of this sand filter, it collects all of the sediment and keeps the pool circulating properly. This is a far better filter pump than the paper pump that came with the pool, and it was even more affordable! With this pump and Intex Skimmer I was able to catch the floating bugs, pollen, leaves, and dirt, so no longer do I have to spend hours preparing the pool each day to swim in it. We can now actually enjoy being poolside an entire day. The pool is so much easier to vacuum now that we don't have to do it I will save time, money, and chemicals, batteries, and paper filters as a result of this. It's nice to swim in a clear, clean swimming pool.

An Intex round metal frame pool measuring 15' x 48' and came with all the accessories I needed Sand filter with Krystal Clear 10" diameter. In many reviews, you will be told emphatically that it does not require anything else to hook the two devices together, but that's just not true! There will be some parts you need to order. There are two types of hose adapters for type B, but only one is needed. By converting 25" to 1, you gain one inch. After playing around with a couple of hose adapters, I used a Plunger valve in conjunction with one of the hose adapters at the bottom of the T. Part #11872 is a split hose plunger valve that is preferable. It was cheaper than other sellers on Amazon selling them for $89) for just $75, so On top of that, you can just use a regular garden hose to wash Furthermore, there is a larger outlet valve that comes with the sand filter, but the only way to use it with the 15' x 48" pool is by cutting a larger hole in it. Choosing not to do so with the small outlet that comes with the pool allowed me to run it as it is. If you have the extra parts, hooking it up is easy, and the filter is significantly better than the one included in the kit.

If you like During the installation of the pump, I noticed that the nuts on the hoses were a little too large for the connections on the pump itself, but I went ahead with the project anyway. My mistake and I shouldn't have bothered to complete the installation turned out to be right. The hoses are popping out both from the input connection and from the output connection when I hand-tighten the nuts on the hoses. It is impossible to keep water from leaking through them by tying them properly. It is still possible to leak water even if you hand-tighten the hoses to just before they pop off. There's a problem with the nuts because they're too large to fit the connections on the pump, so the threads don't work properly, preventing you from tightening it enough. The rubber seals were attached in both places, so the problem was not related to that. Intex customer service was difficult to contact because I grew up speaking very poor English and the lady I spoke with had no solution to the problem.

Buying this was a great decision. If you like I have been using the pool for two years now. It took me more time to clean the pool with the original filter than to play in it last year. It has been over a month since I set it up on Memorial Day. The water is clear, and the only thing in it is chlorine. As of now, I have to wait to get my 90*s, as I live in Jersey. If you do not get this filter, you will spend the same amount of money on The waves on my summer body fitted perfectly. I believe you will need the type B connectors for the 10' x 30" area.

It's barely enough. This was bought to fill a pool of 5000 gallons. If the filter collects enough debris in the sand to begin filtering water, it slows down to 80 % of its original speed, and the water pressure will rise by five to eight percent. There is a problem, but it works. Additionally, the bag is made During the first month, I had to take the handle apart to fix it. I EDITED The top has to be removed twice since June 1st, the second time I had to clean out sand from between the plastic, the third time I have done it there. Because of this, I only rotated the handle in one direction and was unable to rotate it freely. I consider this to be a design flaw at this point. A 5 year old friend of mine comes over regularly. She loves swimming and has lots of friends over. Our children have a bucket next to the pool in which they can wash off their feet before they jump into the water. I find that dirty sand on the bottom of my pool is hard to clean because the bottom of my pool isn't perfectly flat. Overall, it definitely works and you will probably get what you pay for, though this filter does only BARELY work for what you need. Do not get this filter if you do not know how to change your car's oil. We used it all summer long and it still works a bit, but only As a result of its failure, I had to replace the reset plug. In addition to the power on/off switch, the device no longer turns on or off automatically and I must plug and unplug it manually to operate.

In terms of brand and model, there were many options/choices available. There was a bit of an overwhelming choice on what to do. The one I chose is under $150 since I was looking to stay under that. Though the written instructions are not very detailed, you have to rely on a diagram to set up the product. For me, watching a few YouTube videos helped me make sure I did it the right way. It has now been a few months since I got it, and it has worked perfectly for me. There are many great features to this filter, such as easy operation, auto timer, and great filtration.
