I'm not sure if it's rubber, but it has a rubbery feel to it. br>It's sturdy and substantial. I purchased a 100-foot roll of toilet paper. Because it's so heavy, I'll have to lay it down to roll it back up. I believe it is very durable and will last a long time, unlike the clear ones I've had in the past.br>I believe it is an excellent value for the money.
I use this extra heavy duty backwash hose to pump out the water on top of the pool cover with a 1 horsepower sump pump motor, so I doubt it will work as an overflow hose; however, if your rain barrel has a top overflow water valve, a regular garden hose should suffice!
It can't be PVC, so it's got to be something else.
I'm not sure what the psi is, but it's not meant to be used as a pressurized hose. As far as I'm aware, it's only for the discharge of pool water.

After a little more than a month, a hole blew open and was closing in on my home. There's no way to get in touch with the seller, and this hose was quite costly. I wish someone would contact me about this because it should have lasted at least another month and a half. I'm not happy at all.
Over the course of my 20 years as a pool owner, I've had a lot of backwash hoses. This is, without a doubt, the best, because it is thick and durable, and it will last for many years. The majority of hoses aren't very long-lasting. br>br>Even the pool service technicians remarked on how good the hose was. They had previously attempted to sell me a standard thin gauge light blue hose, charging more for a shorter hose. What a load of nonsense. They inquired about the hose's name, price, and where I purchased it after seeing the Black Rhino hose. Ha. br>br>I, too, am a huge fan of black. The black hose looks more natural in the landscape than the blue hose. I hope this has been of assistance.
It appears to have been returned, as pictures of the hose on the ground with water squirting out were included with the previous purchaser. Returned.

This hose has a thicker wall after the first use, with extra material imbedded in it. This is a heavy-duty X hose that will last a lot longer than the 'cheap' brand X hose you can buy at a pool store or a big box store.
This hose is much thicker than the one I was using previously. This product appealed to me because the thickness was expressed in millimeters. It's tough, and I expect it to last a long time without developing the small pinholes that plague less durable products. I wish there was a way to roll it up with a wheel. The 100-foot hose is cumbersome to transport from the back of the house to the street, even when folded in half every 2 feet in accordion fashion.
This hose was absolutely fantastic! THE STRENGTH WAS OUTSTANDING! However, it was unable to withstand my 100-pound German Shepherd, which was not due to the product's fault, and I have since ordered a replacement to complete my pool draining. This hose appears to be of good quality and should last many years and pool drainings. I was very pleased with the product, but my dog was not!.
This is a hose that is designed to withstand a lot of pressure. It is extremely heavy. I used to have to replace the old blue hoses every couple of years, so I'm hoping for at least 5 years out of this for the price, but it looks and feels like it could last forever. I also prefer black to blue because it is less noticeable.
