The way to go over the thin, brittle garbage that came with your above ground pool! During my childhood I enjoyed a swimming pool in my backyard that we managed to maintain on our own (without professional help). The hose is as good as any I have used before. Definitely give it a try!.
This is a great product to use with a hand vacuum for our 16 foot pool and is working as we As a plus, it swivels while in use. This is a sturdy hose. We haven't experienced any kinking issues with the hose. Each of the cuffs on either end easily fit over the connector on the vacuum. The connectors do not fit quite as easily into our pool's pump connector (the difference being whether they fit OVER or INTO the connector) and require some wiggling to connect, but once they are connected you do not have to fret about them coming loose and spewing debris All in all, this hose has met all of my expectations, and I am happy with it.
The product has been used and abused in the sun for three years now The hose has become brittle at different points along its length. Since the hose is more flexible than it used to be, it cracks very easily when it is re-twisted at moderate speed. Therefore, I plan on only using it for discharge hoses whenever I need one since it can no longer be used as vacuum hose. Please note
A Revision of the Original Review - There is no doubt that this hose is a great product. It wasn't high on my list of expectations when I ordered. My initial assessment of the product when I received it was that it looked great, felt firm, and was of plenty of strength. Due to the price, I anticipated some cheap, flimsy hose, but it turned out to be the same quality as the ones I've bought Considering it's not a standard 1-, my only complaint is that it's not in the standard format The hose is 1/2 inch in diameter. To make it work with my pool tools, I had to make adapters. This is a very easy recipe, it only takes about five minutes to make. need to mention that due to the possibility that future buyers might find it useful.
You have to coil up this hose every time you use it, it's terrible. When it gets into a bind, it will collapse and pinch off. The coil will not uncoil (because it runs in a loop). The one 1/4" hose over 30' wasn't available at the time, so this was a choice I made. I should have waited instead of buying it now, as it won't be.
The hose is exactly what the description said. Just what you would expect at the price.
I did not survive any summers here in Arizona without it cracking and falling apart. Not a very sturdy material under.
The shipping was fast and works great.
There was an immediate leak of air coming from the cuffs. Put silicone on them and seal them. A few weeks earlier, the hose itself was ruptured near the end of the swim season.
