There's no way this product could have ever received a 5 star rating. This order was delivered to me As it was the only hose I needed, I installed it. Water shot out of the hose almost immediately after I applied it. The hose that lasted 2 seasons has lasted only 4 seconds this one did not withstand even 1 second. Now it has a 1 inch rupture in the side. There must be an issue as the previous ones lasted 2 seasons. The second hose is applied, the valve is installed, and it leaks no more. My understanding is that this is the case. Before going to bed, I checked the pool, and it wasn't filled with water. The dam has burst and flooded my backyard and burned up my pump at some point in the last six hours. It's not clear for how long the pump worked without a supply, but it's fixed now. There was a rupture inches long in the side of the second hose, just like the first. Not certain how old the hoses are but to burst so quickly they were either A or very old. It might be A) a very poor quality product Very old and fragile. In other words, the hoses are not in my possession and the pump is not connected. As far as the return process is concerned, I will update if there are any.
My Bestway pool from Costco came with the same cheap plastic tubes as these. Exactly what I was looking for. To verify, I stopped by the pool store. The price in this listing is half of what the pool store asked for the The best advice for anyone who intends to use them is to understand that they are plastic and will degrade rapidly in the presence of chlorine and sunlight. The silicone tape I keep with me in the event of a crisis works like a charm when I need to fix a pool or filter.
We were upgrading our pump and our Intex hoses were two years old, so we replaced them with these to be on the safe side. Despite the fact that these are inexpensive and should have worked out, both of these hoses began flaking heavily within a few short days of our pool being set up. It was a mystery to us until we figured out that the dog from next door was digging under the fence and using the hoses to climb into the pool. We think it's a dog, or at least we think so. There's no way we'd know for sure whether it was a werewolf. In the night, the solar cover kept getting dragged off the pool and wagging away a few Our first thought was that the wind was to blame. We had hoped to enjoy backyard swimming this season but our backyard swim season was ended early this year when the critter tore off the inflatable top ring of the pool. In any case, we tried replacing the new (and now unusable) hoses with the original, older ones before this particular debacle occurred. This set of hoses could never handle the abuse the originals could. This could explain why the dog managed to get in another way. What a jerk he is. We never caught him in the act. Since these hoses are not as sturdy as the original Intex ones, I can reasonably assume, even though I cannot provide conclusive proof, that they are not as durable. It is in your best interest to be aware of these dangers, and I wish you better luck in your pool endeavors than I did.
The hoses were much longer than the originals, so I was worried. I have an Intex 24' pool. Each has a t-shaped intake tube that connects to another A good fit. It turns out the longer length is best as it allows the end closest to the pool end fitting to take some of the strain. My hoses were not cracked the way some others were, but I was not aware of cracking on other folks' hoses.
My order from the manufacturer was out of stock so I had to order one here instead. It cost $4 to purchase one hose straight from the manufacturer. For about $20, you can get hoses from Amazon for 99 cents. As a result, these hoses are highly overpriced, made from the same cheap, crappy plastic that all other plastic hoses are made out of. I have a pool where the hose fits, and it works just.
Intex provided me with extra tubing for my 12 x 30 above ground pool, and this is the exact same tubing that came with it. It fits perfectly to the pool, as well as for my Intex solar heaters. I would like to point out a few things come in a package of two for one price. Since these are stiff, you should be careful when using them to avoid tearing them. Furthermore, you will probably need more length because of the stiffness of the material as well as the angles at which you will need to twerk these. If you only need one tubing, it is good to have some extra on hand in case something happens to it. To ensure they would remain solid, I used the clamps (that are not included with this purchase). This product works exactly as it should, at a good price.
I definitely feel like they are cheap, but all Intex products do. This outlet fit my Intex 18 x 48 easy set pool outlet perfectly, my clamps were tightened, and I was good to go. In short, there is a simple way to change the hoses, but I didn't want to bother with it so this is really a race against time. I shut off all the valve ports and made sure the pump was turned After disconnecting the hose's end from the valve port and attaching it to the new hose, I disconnected the end from the pool outlet after it had been attached. The trip will be filled with lots of water, but you can handle it. The end of the new hose was then attached and the clamp was tightened. Naturally, the pressure caused the other hose that I wasn't replacing to detach from the outlet, so I additionally had to reconnect that and reinstall the hose with its fitting. Make sure that clamp is firmly fastened. It is just a matter of being aware of what you are getting yourself into and having your drill ready to go ahead of time. I only had to wait five minutes, and I didn't bother to replace any of the.
With the Intex 1, you get the best possible sound quality. To begin with, 25" hoses are not the best quality (one that came with my pool had a pinhole leak from the start), but this batch must have been brittle or they were sitting in their packaging on a warehouse shelf at too much pressure for long periods of time. POWERED BY WATER, both hoses split immediately when they filled up and stretched a bit (before the pump even kicked The vendor cannot be held responsible for this since it was not visible when I first hooked them up or when I opened the package. It is important that you unpack carefully and save the packaging until you are sure they will be My vendor, VMInnovations, was very prompt in getting back to me and issuing me a refund, and I give them FIVE STARS *****.
