My original hoses were very tight fitting when I had that, but I don't have it at the moment. As I was replacing some fittings that split, I discovered they were a little smaller than what I expected. However, I was able to squeeze them in with a lot of effort.
On the male end, it is 1 1/4" in diameter. On the female end, it is 1 1/2" in diameter.
It was important to me that the hoses go all around my oval pool so the lady bug would go all the way around. The extra hoses that I purchased made it work well. There is just a click when the hoses are connected

The new hoses were the same as the ones I had for a decade that had worn out. There is a mark engraved on each hose which says "Hayward. ". As well, I found that the connected tightly and didn't come apart during operation. The ones you should get if you want a Hayward hose replacement are these.
Although this pool hose is sturdy, the connecting ends do not hold together very well with each other and the hose does not hold together very well with the rest of the pool hoses. It was common for them to pop apart when cleaning the pool. Although it was not mentioned where the 15% restocking fee was to be paid and I was an Amazon Prime customer, the seller, Deals 360, charged me 20% restocking fee and return shipping. This has turned out to be a good decision for me because of Amazon.
As you can see, the grey hose on the cleaner is lighter than what comes with the original I am very dissatisfied with the color difference, but I need the hose section, so I am using it.
My Hayward hose fits my existing pool hose perfectly. I rent a home with a beautiful pool, but there was a section of the hose that could not be used since it was cracked and broken. The Hayward no longer had the ability to access the entire pool perimeter after it was removed. According to many of the reviews posted, there have been mixed results. take the risk and it is a good decision. There are no problems at all.
The solution to our AquaBug problem worked perfectly. Now that the hoses have been connected to the far side of the pool, it can reach that area. We found these to be a little longer than the hoses that come with AquaBug, and we loved the fittings.
A number of my houses leak, and I have notified the seller of this, but they did not take any responsibility and assumed that the problem was my own. The hoses you buy are not worth the money. The fact that I have to return these hoses and buy other ones because this product is so poor in quality is highly frustrating to me.
The inline filter does not need to be attached for this to work. Upon being connected, it will work for a few minutes, then the hose will collapse. I am not sure if it is compatible with Hayward since it says that on the package. am unable to use it with my automatic cleaner due to this problem. Therefore, the old-fashioned way to vacuum is to use a vacuum.
Besides matching and working perfectly, it's also visually appealing. In order to get it to straighten out and not coil, it needs to be placed out in the sun for a short time. Unlike hoses that lay straight, coiled hoses do not work as effectively in the pool cleaner.
