It feels like these are high-quality hoses, but they can be somewhat fiddly to install. A day after I put them in the vacuum head I used them for cleaning the pool. One of the two hoses I bought broke in three places at the end of the second day. I am not sure that that was the quality I was expecting for a product "made in the USA. ".

This 18-foot hose I purchased with a disc adaptor fits inside the skimmer of my 10 foot Summer Waves pool, along with the Hydrotools half-moon weighted sweep by Hydrotools. the Swivel end to the sweep, fill the hose to the top with water, then connect the other end to the skimmer adaptor, turn on the pump, and empty the pump of any air bubbles before starting to sweep. It has been great to work with this setup. In order to save my filter, I dip it into a skimmer sock to catch dirty water when it passes the skimmer area, thanks! I then rinse it later, and I reuse it. The skimmer disc did have to be dremmed about 1/4 inch around the edge in order for it to fit in my basket precisely. I push the sweep around and the hose curls a bit as I push it, but it does not get in the way. It is very durable. In my opinion, I would not use this with an auto sweep because the machine will probably try to fix itself if unsupervised. I purchased this specifically for the purpose of cleaning my pool and preventing backflow. It worked well with the cleaner, but when I hooked it up to the backflow (blue swivel end at pump) and turned on the backflow, I had to run the hose because so much water sprayed There is either no washer on the end of the line or it is so poorly constructed that it is twisted. This problem is that it is not just one spot, it is all around, so the result is a pretty spray of water.
