Questions & Answers
They test the chlorine level, ph balance, and total alkalinity of the water in our spa, but I specifically purchased the test strips for the fresh mineral water system because that is what we have. Proper test strip readings and results within the ideal range ensure that your pool/spa is sanitizing properly. I hope this information is useful.
For chlorine, it has the purple one.
This test strip measures chlorine, bromine, total alkalinity, pH, and total hardness.
Selected User Reviews For Frog Pool & Spa Test Strips - 100 Count
For my hot tub, I use the test strips; "Frog Ease test strips" was the name given to all previous frog test strips. Frog test strips for pools and hot tubs is the name of the new order, and yes, they work, but the color codes are completely different! When one has become accustomed to one, it is then replaced. It's complicated.
Now. What's the difference between Frog's two types of test strips? "NO FOR USE WITH FROG @ EASE!" says the fine print on the Frog Test Strips. WHY WAS THIS NOT MENTIONED IN THE ADVERTISEMENT?.
I originally ordered an item that was identical to what I had received with my hot tub and that I was familiar with, as well as one that was significantly less expensive than this item. I had waited for the item, but it never arrived, so I had to reorder, only to discover that it was no longer available. This was the most similar item I could find that was in stock and ready to ship right away. Yes, I am a Prime Member, and I assisted in the delivery and refund of the initial order. br>br>This item is fine and does the same job as the previous one, but at a higher cost. I gave it a 3 because I don't know if it's accurate until I test it.
This is a disaster! Every single strip had been ruined. It never functioned correctly. Pool store products have always been much better. Following the reviews, I was very disappointed. Unfortunately, by the time we were ready to use them (two months after purchase), I had missed the return window.
Perhaps I was given a bad batch. It took a long time to get through all of the comic strips. The colors would half of the time clash with the panel. If the shipping cost was not worth it, I would have returned them.
When I received the bottles, I noticed that the labels were completely different. I knew this price was too good to be true because it says (not for use on all Frog systems) at the bottom of the front in small print. I will, without a doubt, return this.
The chlorine levels in our pool can fluctuate quickly due to its small size. This is a simple method of testing, and it appears to be accurate, as the pool store where we occasionally bring water samples confirms the results of the test strips with their computer readouts of our pool water. So, unless the ph or something else is seriously out of whack, we mostly rely on the test strips.
After decades of hot tub ownership and maintenance, I can say that not only has each progressive spa become easier to maintain, but the test strips have as well. They aren't required on a daily basis as they once were, but they are quick and convenient if you suspect something is wrong. They're also a lot less expensive than what you'd find at a spa store, and they're identical to what they sell. It's simple to read and use.
The product that was shipped does not match the image on Amazon. Frog has delivered a product that is incompatible with my @ease system, which is frustrating. Listen, the @ease system for frogs is fantastic. Everything is in order. The chlorine bobber acts as a hot tub's autopilot. I thought these test strips were part of that system, so I ordered them. When they arrived, the product did not match the photo, and the product box stated that these specific test strips are not compatible. Please update the listing as well as the image on Amazon.
