We just finished installing a whole-house chlorinator. We had no idea how much work went into setting it up, cleaning the existing plumbing, resetting it for household use, and monitoring the chlorine levels in the water several times a day, if not daily, for the first 30 days after installation. You go through a lot of these strips, too. br>We bought Clorox and another brand name before settling on these, first and foremost because they are Hach brandname and because 200 strips are only $20! The cost of 50 Clorox wipes is $10! br>The Hach CN- is now in our possession. 66 testing unit for a more precise measurement and because our New York State Health Department uses it for testing. We'll have the entire setup that our NYS Health Department recommends if we ever sell the house. I'd use the strips because they're good enough in my opinion. However, as we approach retirement, we're considering relocating.
As I write this, I'm not sure what it didn't test, but my old strips only had five tests, which I found to be insufficient. br>Won't be getting it again.
To see how they stack up against each other Have always been on the money. Although they do not provide an acid demand reading, they are precise and simple to use.
Quick results that are easy to read. Because of its dependability and convenience, I continue to reorder this product.
These caused a slew of problems, and they didn't work at all! My pool started having issues after I purchased them based on the reviews, but it's too late to get my money back. I went to my local pool store to get some water, but everything was low! These test strips taught me a valuable lesson. Pay a little more to get a little more! It isn't worth it to mess with the chemistry.
These are the most effective "at-home" test strips available.
Then, if something is off, I use a full test kit to double-check values. If you go past the expiration date, don't worry about it. I had a few old ones lying around from 6 months ago that read exactly the same as the new ones. br>Once again, they're for a quick check and serve us well. They are highly recommended and are used on a daily basis by us.
Doesn't test everything, but it's dead on with all of the reading (and matches computer testing).
