Questions & Answers

Can I use this in an outdoor ornamental pond that doesn't have any fish but does have lotus and water lilies that need to be safe with whatever I use?

No, I believe it is unlikely. It could irritate your skin and eyes. Seaklear is a good place to start. com and read their msds sheet for a wealth of information.

After my second application, I noticed a black residue "fallout." Is this normal?

This algaecide has been in my arsenal for a long time. When I first open my 22,000 gallon pool in the early summer, I add one quart, and three months later, I add another quart. This brand, according to my understanding, is based on copper sulfate, which not only kills existing algae but also prevents new ones from growing for a three-month period. I've never had a black fallout, but I did once have a greenish fallout after a particularly harsh winter. It's possible that the excessive algae growth prior to the opening was the cause of this. Because a copper sulfate solution is blue and most common algae are green or blueish green, I would expect any excess algae killed to have a color that matches the algae types present.

Is it true that this kills black algae?

For our 18,000-gallon pool, this product has performed admirably. SeaKlear provides a 90-day no-algae guarantee, according to the bottle. Blue-eyed monsters are killed by it. Green algae, green, yellow, and black algae are all types of algae. We make certain that the chemistry of our pool is always maintained.

All of our algae has vanished
5/5

These bottles are extremely effective. Even in 110 degree weather, there has been no sign of algae since I put the chemicals in about 30 days ago. I was disappointed at first because the first two bottles were poorly packaged, and one of them broke during shipping, spilling the majority of the contents. The customer service was excellent, and they offered to send me new bottles or refund my money. I chose to have new bottles sent, which were shipped safely and arrived in perfect condition. br>br>I added the bottles after ensuring that my pool was acid and chlorine balanced. After brushing the pool and letting our vacuum take care of the rest, I haven't had to deal with algae in my pool in 30 days. The algae usually prefers to grow in specific areas of the pool. This year will be different. br>br>I'll keep using this product to keep the algae at bay throughout the summer.

WOW! THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I REQUIRED 25 YEARS AGO
5/5

This stuff is nothing short of PHENOMENAL in my opinion. For the past 30 years, I've owned and maintained pools in Phoenix and South Florida, both of which are notorious for pool algae growth due to hot water temperatures. Even with constant chlorine addition, shock treatment, and expensive phosphate control products, I battled conditions that ranged from mild to "frog pond green" overnight. Cleaning of the filters I came across this product on Amazon by chance while ordering other pool chemicals and decided to give it a try. This is the most valuable investment I've ever made! While the initial treatment was working, filter cleaning was required almost every day for a few days. My pool has remained perfectly clear since then. The amount of chlorine used has decreased dramatically. Sea Clear has taken away a lot of frustration and sweat by limiting filter cleaning to maybe once every three weeks before the filter pressure drops below the baseline. "blue language," as it's known. It is something I would strongly advise any pool owner to do. (My granddaughter's hair is blond, by the way. ) After many visits to "Pops Pond," it still hasn't turned green. br>The product isn't available at my local pool supply store - Hmm - Why is this so?.

We do a fantastic job of keeping our pool clean and balanced with the proper chemicals
5/5

Last year and early this season, we had trouble keeping algae under control in our 24000 gallon in-ground pool. We do a great job of keeping our pool clean and chemically balanced, but I still get algae spots every five days or so. I've been using this product for over 6 weeks and have yet to see any signs of algae. There was no need for any scrubbing, and regular sanitizing and vacuuming were all that was required. I have yet to receive confirmation of the three-month algae-free guarantee. Currently, I give it a five-star rating. I purchased the two-bottle deal and intend to use the second one before the store closes in early September. So Far - OUTSTANDING STUFF. I'm saving a lot of money because I'm not using the expensive standard anti-algae treatments, which are ineffective. If you know how to keep your pool in good shape, this is the option for you! br>Update for 2020 - In May of this year, I used one bottle, and in August, I used another. There were no problems, not even a single spot of algae, as a result of the procedure. We've only recently opened, and my two bottles for the season are on their way. We're looking forward to another season of low-maintenance fun. br>Recommendation to the reviewers who left negative feedback - Get your pool water tested at a reputable pool store that offers free water testing. Inquire about phosphate and nitrate testing if you have algae. They don't usually test for these, so you'll have to ask. Because algae feeds on contaminants that come from natural organics and fertilizers in your lawn, if they're present in high concentrations, you're likely to continue to have algae problems. br>I give this book a five-star rating!.

IT WORKS! So, we've had our Fiberglass Pool for 23 years and counting
5/5

Water leaks and breaks in the lines plagued us in February, as they did so many others in Texas. It was the same at our Pool. We couldn't run the Pump because our Jandy valve had lost pressure. We placed an order for a new Valve, but there was a backorder issue, which lasted several weeks- Our swimming pool resembled a pond of green sludge. We chlorinated first, then added 1 bottle of SeaKlear the next day. We had to add a second bottle after waiting 24 hours for it to lighten up. The next day, we awoke to a beautiful pool-side view. During the process, my husband, like anyone else, had to clean out the filter every day! We have crystal clear water once more! This is a product I strongly recommend!.

SeaKlear 90 is a product that was developed by SeaKlear and is Algae Prevention During the Day This is the product to use if you want to get rid of algae in your pool
5/5

SeaKlear 90-SeaKlear 90-SeaKlear 90-S When we first opened our pool in the spring, we used Algae Prevention and Remover. This item does exactly what it claims to do. Throughout the summer, the water was crystal clear and there was no (zero) algae. It does, as the manufacturer claims, "reduce pool maintenance and chemical dosing. " We didn't have any problems getting the right chemicals in the pool, and we didn't have to keep adding chemicals. This product is a must-have for anyone who owns a pool. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you give it a shot. I would give this product a higher rating if I had the option. I highly recommend it and have purchased additional supplies in preparation for next spring. This product is currently available for $28 from the seller on Amazon. 99 + $4. It's only 99 cents to ship, and it's well worth the money.

I've never had a bad experience with a product
5/5

I've been using this product for years and it's helped me with my algae problems; I used to get blooms before I started using it, but no longer do now that I'm using it, and I have vinyl liners. br>br>Delivery was quick, even faster than the estimated delivery time. I haven't had a chance to open the delivered bottles yet, so I can't comment on their quality, but I expect the same results. I paid the lowest price for this product that I've ever paid.

It performs admirably
4/5

It worked reasonably well, but it took several days to remove the majority of the algae from the pool. In addition to using this product, it is recommended that the filters be cleaned thoroughly at least twice, and that the pool be swept before the filters are cleaned. After adding the product to the pool, check to see if the chemistry is close to normal. Hyperchlorination will almost certainly be required, as will the correction of acid/alkalinity levels. In just two days, the majority of the algae had vanished. 3 days.

I went through two bottles of this in less than two weeks and still had green algae
3/5

I used two bottles of this within two weeks of each other, and the green algae was still present. I chlorinated at the same time. To clear the water, I had to use both shock and clarifier. Even though I kept adding chlorine, I hoped the SeaKlear would keep it that way, but it didn't. Even after a few weeks, I needed to add more shock. Even though it had been raining heavily, I hoped that it would work better because I had used even more concentration than the instructions required.
