KEEP ALGAE AT BAY - This product works to keep a variety of algae at bay. Chara (stone wart), Spirogyra, Cladophora, Vaucheria Ulothrix, Microcystis, Oscillatoria, Mustard Algae, and Black Algae are all particularly susceptible. The copper does not precipitate with the carbonates or bicarbonates in the water thanks to the triethanolamine in this product. Rx Clear Copper Algaecide is a swimming pool algaecide that is used to prevent and eliminate unwanted infestations.

COAT THE WALL - Algaecide is applied to the pool's walls to keep algae at bay. Surfactant aids in the destruction of algae cells by splitting them open. The Rx Clear Copper Algaecide coats the pool wall to keep it clear.

Questions & Answers

Will this work as a winter algaecide? (I live in Wisconsin, so the pool will be frozen for a good portion of the winter.) ?

I have no idea. Southern Arizona is where I call home. It works perfectly in my pool, I can assure you. Since I began using it, I have not had a single incident with algae. Moreover, in the summer, the water becomes extremely hot. It's the same temperature as a hot bath. In previous summers, I had always battled algae. This is an excellent item.

Do I have to use it with chlorine? I'm trying to stay away from chlorine as much as possible in my pool. Thanks! ?

To reduce algae, I believe it could be used without chlorine. The best method, however, is to brush your pool, shock it with chlorine, and then add algaecide on a regular basis to reduce/eliminate algae throughout the swimming season (I've had excellent results with this method). In theory, there is no harm in using algaecide alone, though it may not be as effective and you will be without a sanitizer. Make sure you brush your teeth first - It is crucial. When I close my pool in the fall, I use 7% copper most of the time. J in the state of New York

Is it safe to use in a pool with salt water?

I put it in my salt water pool and it worked perfectly.

I use this copper-based Algaecide in combination with an amine-based Algaecide to keep algae at bay in our swimming pool at a reasonable cost

The price of this copper-based Algaecide on Amazon is significantly less than what you'll find in local pool supply stores. Copper-based algaecides have nearly identical formulas. On a monthly basis, I also add a box of 20 Mule Team Borax to the pool. This mixture, in addition to chlorine tablets and granular chlorine, keeps the water clean, clear, and sparkling. A water clarifier isn't necessary for me.

Adding chlorine and shocking the area worked for a short period of time. As if by magic, this product did its job. I had no problems with my water for the rest of the summer. This is something I'll keep on hand at all times. br>Highly recommended.

Overnight, it wipes away algae! I was hesitant to use only 4 ounces in our 10,000 gallon pool, but there was a noticeable difference in water clarity within hours of dispersing it (mixed with a quart of water)

If you pour it into the pool, it will kill the algae and prevent it from growing back (in non-salt water pools). stop the sun from shining in Southern California).
