Questions & Answers

My pool is only a few months old (less than 6 months old) and already has algae growing on it. Is it important to clean the filter first?

Immediately following a filter cleaning, it is very important to use this. You will filter it through your filter system after it goes into your pump basket. As well as reducing the amount of chlorine and acid you're using, it helps to fight algae. You will be reducing the life of the product if you have to clean your filter because it's dirty. I hope

Do booster tabs have to be replaced in order to continue to work properly? Apart from the cage made of plastic, what's the main difference between the two? I have heard about booster granules which are more expensive than booster tabs. why the booster granules seem to be disappearing?

A little more than half of the accounts we manage are powered by Poolrx. The blue unit is only replaced when it is lost by the customer. We add a booster pack of minerals on a yearly basis. The units are fine, even those that are more than nine years old.

I have a 20 x 40 pool. What products do I need for it? A large volume of water (approximately 33,000 gallons). ?

The best way to keep your pool clean is with an RX unit. The only time you might need to shock your garden is if the soil gets wet or if you have heavy use or if it rains a lot.

Can I also use it in the fall? Would I need to use it just in the spring? Also, do we mean what you wrote about putting it in the skimmer or in the filter basket?

It's a booster for the Pool Rx cartridge, which should already be in your pump filter. When you change your pump filter, add the replacement 4-pack for the Pool Rx booster and algaecide. I plan to have my pool resurfaced six months later, according to how much I use it.

Yep, that's right
5/5

In my backyard, I have a concrete pool topped with an aggregate finish, which was resurfaced two There are already 90 degrees in early May in North Florida, where I live. As I recall, I have been fighting algae earlier in the year than I have in the past. A poly algaecide (60% is the most expensive and effective type), is added to my pool weekly, I brush the pool regularly, my water is shocked regularly, and I keep the pH balance. It seems to be happening even though the chlorine is less than 5ppm, as algae keep growing every time the level drops. As a result, I searched online and found this product by chance (PoolRx). It seemed to be a good buy after reading the positive reviews. A 13k gallon pool and a blue cap (the appropriate size) were purchased. Aside from the booster minerals, I also bought a "super tea. " I wonder from now on how long I can go without As soon as I received the unit, I followed the instructions (which were very simple), which were to backwash my filter, clean the skimmer basket and pump basket, and install the unit in the pump basket (pumps water more effectively than skimmer baskets, Typically, I run my pump for 8 hours each day, which turns the water over twice. (The instructions say to run the pump daily for 15 minutes to turn the water over once. It must be at least 5x). Efforts to implement the plan were immediately successful. A 48hr period was enough for all traces of algae to disappear. Neither my house nor my lawn had been treated with algaecide for over a week. It is stated by the manufacturer that I will never have to use algaecide as long as I operate I'm going to save a lot of money in the long run because it is only $25 a quart (for the 60% poly quat, which should last me about 5 weeks). In addition, I will not have to brush as often or add extra chemicals to the pool (I have toddlers who swim every day at my house during the summer) which will reduce my maintenance requirements and make it healthier for the kids. As if that weren't enough, the chelated minerals (the active ingredients in algaecide) help maintain the water's balance, and the chlorine remains in the water for two years It takes three times as long as it should! In my opinion, this product is truly revolutionary, and it has changed my life profoundly. It is impossible for me to express how pleased I am at this point. My next review will be done in the fall, so I'll note any changes and the results when I update it. GET A HEAD START WITH THIS PRODUCT!.

There is a problem with pool rx
3/5

I have been using it for a few years now. I really like how it works! In the past, I had used the recharge chemical as I had done in the past. There was something odd about it- This clump of leaves was green and gray in color. It was in my skimmer basket, so maybe it would work. It's been 3 days since I haven't run my pool pump You must stop! Even though every vacuuming removed the algae, it continued to grow. Evidently, there was a problem with this-- "Send it back" is not an option for me- I have it in my pool! As soon as I finished installing the jar, I disposed of it and its packaging. had on hand, and it took only a day for the algae to go away, and it has not returned. A VERY GOOD PRODUCT - Beware of the following Use only blue and granular things - if it's not blue or granular don't use it RESPOND BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!.

This is awesome! This appears to be a magic trick! The original PoolRX is a great product, I wrote a review about I would recommend that you do not shortchange yourself by skimping out on boosters when you need them, especially if you have a larger pool
5/5

It would have been better to use a booster rather than just one, but that wasn't possible. I was getting mad because it didn't work, but when I entered two into our system, it turned blue over night. It turned our pool from green to blue and it is no longer cloudy. I don't know what it is or what it does, but it did change it to blue and it is no longer green. Keeping your other chemicals up to date can be the difference between a great summer and a poor summer. Don't become lazy with your other chemicals when you realize that you spend the majority of your time fighting algae, which now won't be an issue, you forget to add chlorine.

Please be aware! I would advise you not to order this product
3/5

A new regular PoolRX has been in my above ground pool for the last five years and I have not tried the booster. It has been extremely hot and there are a lot of swimmers in the pool this year. Due to the cloudy water, I thought it might be a good idea to attach booster crystals to it. That's not true! container, I found a small clump of hard green foam, so I returned it and got a new one. I received a replacement the next day, and upon opening it, I found a hard blue clump inside. I returned it for a refund because the product could not be used. In the future, I will use the original PoolRX product, but I will not try this booster. My usual practice is not to write reviews, but I wanted everyone to know this product is defective.

Pictures do not reflect the true state of the item
3/5

Our order was for the white jar-looking product pictured on Amazon, but we received a completely different item in a totally different package! Can you tell us if it's just new packaging (or old packaging)? It depends on whether or not I cannot return this item once I open it and use It's a very confusing situation! It is a great product. I can say that. The white jar (which Amazon pictured) is a great product.

It really did make a big I looked at my pool and it was pretty rough
5/5

The reason I bought this was that I was out of ideas, and I hoped it would help me. My pool is kept in excellent condition due to a lot of effort on my part. Still, the chemicals were right, the filters were cleaned, I backwashed and I ran the vacuum nightly and it still looked horrible. Could you please tell me what you think? The pictures are there for you to see. We discovered that our recurring algae problem was gone instantly, and within 48 hours the pool looked as if it was out of a pool company brochure (see photos). The leaves look amazing no matter how long it lasts, and even if I had to do this 4 times a year, it will be well worth it.

The water of the pool is sparkling
4/5

We've never been able to do that since we put the pool in over 25 years ago, the blistering heat of the summer won't let us shut it down even in October. We're in the eighth day of the month and it's forecasting 101 time! Having said all that, I would like to share our experience with this product. We use it every year and have never had a major algae outbreak. Putting this product in now to revitalize the one I put in May was necessary since the season continues. It was incredibly hot that day, so I ran the pump as instructed during the day for 8 hours. The next morning the pool was sparkling like it had been clarified. Even though we have a weekly pool service, we keep the pool immaculate and it makes being in the water so much more enjoyable. In the summer, the water in our pool gets up to 90 degrees, so it is an easy target for algae of all kinds. Using this product is so simple that you are sure it does what it says it will do. If you want, you can drop it in your skimmer basket and forget about it for four days The period covered by this report is five.
