HTH 67032 Super Algae Guard Swimming Pool Algaecide Cleanser, 1 qt

I'm in my first house with my first pool, which I'm learning to take care of by trial and error, and I took a small vacation for about a week at the end of this summer, and I guess I let the chlorine get too low (when tested, the pool showed little to no chlorine) and it was literally green, with dark green/black growing on the sides. I tried adding multiple bags of shock at a time (probably about 6) in an attempt to kill whatever was growing, as well as three different types of shock. After trying the listed amount with little effect and reading a review with a person's pool in the same condition as mine, I decided to try the entire bottle of HTH at once, and after using the entire bottle at once, very little foam occurred, and my pool is clear and all the stuff that was extremely difficult to kill on the sides has almost completely died a couple of days later. I'll be using this only because I tried using two entire bottles of In The Swim Super Pool Algaecide to no avail, and with the HTH the pool was safe after an hour, whereas using just 6 oz of In The Swim Super Pool Algaecide made my pool toxic to anything living. I added the listed dose of In The Swim Super Pool Algaecide and then went to scrub the sides, and when a drop of water touched my hand, it actually burned. I prefer the stuff that won't kill me, but the HTH has a strong odor, so keep it away from your face and use gloves when handling it. Looking through my orders for the In The Swim Super Pool Algaecide that didn't work, I discovered that I had purchased 48 bags of shock this summer when I could have just used a bottle of this stuff and my pool would not have turned bright green and the sides black.

After heavy rains, there was a recurrence of an issue in Florida. Every time it happens, the only suggestion from the local PaP pool store is to put a $20 bottle of algae killer and a $25 bottle of liquid chlorine in. I bought this bottle and filled it with the normal first dose and a bag of shock, and everything cleared up immediately. If you follow the monthly routine and maintain normal chlorine levels, algae will not return. It does foam, especially when combined with a waterfall, but I prefer it because I can tell when I need to add more by seeing fewer bubbles form. When compared to how much I was paying at the chain stores to get rid of the algae, this seems to be a great deal. I've had no problems with it for the past 8 months.

There aren't many suds, and the foam only forms near the agitated water. I went a tad overboard with the amount of salt. The water is still green and cloudy after several hours of filtration on the first day. I'll keep you updated. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The remainder of the bottle was added the next morning. The sky had cleared up by the afternoon. It isn't completely free of foam. There was a small amount of foam near the air agitation jets near the steps. None of the other areas have been touched on. It's not a big deal because THIS STUFF WORKS. br>br>UPDATE: My pool is now completely clear and the foaming has stopped after three weeks. In addition, all of the chemicals are at the proper concentrations. I haven't had to shock my pool once a week or after a rainstorm. I live in an area where algae can grow in as little as 24 hours. Algae growth has been prevented as a result of this. Yes, it foams up at first, but if you have an algae problem, this stuff works. This is going to be my go-to product for the money.

"Wow, what a great price and good reviews on this easy-to-use algaecide!" I thought to myself when I purchased it. I examined it more closely. It appeared to check all of the boxes for what I needed it to do. The "Non-Sequitur" was one of my favorites. This feature is called "foaming. " When it comes to algae-fighting products for your pool, this is a common issue. br>br>I cracked open the bottle, carefully read the instructions, measured out the correct amount, and poured it into my pool. br>br>The next thing I know, my children are screaming "Daddy!" outside. Daddy! You prepared a bubble bath for us! Yay! "br>br>As it turns out, the "Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-Non-N This product's "foaming" feature has a completely different meaning than what I originally thought. I wish I'd known sooner. I'm giving it one star because I don't think it's good. I will, however, make sure to update this review if my pool is completely clean and foam-free. After a few days, you'll be free. In any case, it isn't what I had hoped for.

I gave the pool a good brushing and added a little more than the recommended initial dose. For a while, the yellow algae had vanished, and the pool walls had turned a brighter shade of white! They must have had a small amount of brown algae on them, which died over time. br>br>When I was younger, I was in charge of a large community pool, and I remember the stench of algaecide. This product did exactly that, bringing back memories. The odor, on the other hand, lingered for over a week with this product. Even so, I'd use it again.

I bought HTH and it arrived quickly, but I didn't read the instructions and probably used too much or too little, who knows? But it worked over night, and the next day it was perfectly blue! Because we live in Florida, we have a 6-month long hurricane season. It's crucial to keep track of your chemicals to keep your pool clean throughout the year. This product is fantastic, and I plan to purchase it again. I didn't have to drive to the pool store, which was a huge plus.
