There were two types, as far as I could tell. What is the distinction between the two?

The bottle itself has a unique shape. The first is for specific FROG models, while the second is for all FROG models. Both have worked flawlessly for me in my system.

Will this product remove algae that has already grown?

Yes, according to my experience with this product, this product, combined with additional shock, should clear your pool of typical algae. If your pool has a lot of algae, this product may or may not be able to get rid of it. After the algae has been cleared for up to 90 days, this product is excellent at preventing further growth.

Is it possible to simply empty the container's contents into the pool?

The instructions state that you should not puncture the foil and instead allow it to puncture as you insert it. I guess my Frog system is missing the spike because it worked great 180 minutes later (tried twice). I just removed the foil before putting it in. I was able to get rid of the small amount of algae I had, and it has not returned thus far.

In my pool, I've had green algae for the past three months. I experimented with five different products, with only minor success. A Frog Leap chlorine system is what I use. Algae has been a constant opponent this year. A friend recommended that I try BAM. Within two days of using this in my pool, the algae problem was completely gone. I was astounded; this is an excellent product, and I will be purchasing it for the pool's opening next year in order to completely avoid the problem. AN AMAZING PRODUCT!.

It's simple to use and it gets the job done well. Simply place the frog chloridiner in the dispenser and turn on the pump to disperse.

The best product that has ever existed! I'm a huge fan of the bam system! We have an 18' round above ground pool, and the same chlorine container has been in for a month and is still releasing chlorine; you simply place it in the frog system, set the dial, and forget about it until it's time to change it

Algaecide is a fantastic product. We built our pool before we had all of the necessary equipment, and it was covered in algae within a few days. The algae was gone and hasn't come close to returning once we got everything hooked up and ran the Algaecide. Excellent system and product!.

For our pool, the pool frog stuff is fantastic. Our pool has never been cloudy or had any chemical issues. Coworkers and friends have problems all of the time, but they don't use the pool frog system to solve them. The pool frog system makes a huge difference and saves you hours of work and constant chemical adjustments. I only check my pool every two weeks or so, and it always seems to be in good shape.
