It's all shock, really. The chlorine in saltwater pools comes from the salt in the water being broken down into Chlorine and Sodium by the saltwater element in the piping, just like any other pool.
We use it in our above-ground pool. It's not a Coleman pool; instead, it's an older pool that we've had for over 15 years. The last time we replaced our liner was three years ago, and we've used this product on it without any noticeable damage. I hope you found this information to be beneficial.
I'm not sure how big your pool is, but shocking (over chlorinating) it once every three months is a good idea. Your pool supply company or Google may be able to assist you. The reason you use a shock before a clarifier is to kill the algae.

It worked because I only used Clorox products, including this algecide. This stuff is effective. Because Clorox pool products work so well, and their app eliminates the need to pay someone else to troubleshoot for you, I no longer use a pool service. All of the Clorox pool line is highly recommended; his products are effective. Because Clorox pool products work so well, and their app eliminates the need to pay someone else to troubleshoot for you, I no longer use a pool service. I highly recommend the entire Clorox pool line, as these are genuine, real-life products. My pool as seen in real life.
After trying everything at my neighborhood pool store, I was extremely skeptical. My pool wasn't infested to the point of being filthy, but it was never clean - On the walls and bottom of the pool, the black algae created tiny black spots that appeared to be debris. I scrubbed and scrubbed, adding all kinds of algae-fighting products, but nothing changed. I bought it with the attitude of "well, it can't hurt to try," i. e. , I didn't have high hopes. This product's instructions were followed to the letter, and the results were AMAZING. The next day, I had to scrub for another three hours and then add a clarifier, but OMG, the pool is finally sparkling clean. I'm not usually one to write glowing reviews, but this product delivers on its promises.
I purchased this Algaecide out of desperation because I was unable to control pool algae. br>Both Pool Chlorination Shock and another algae control product failed to solve the algae problem. So I went out and purchased Clorox Pool. br>br> Spa Algaecide Xtra Blue is a powerful algaecide. I was astounded at how quickly the algae in my pool vanished and the water turned clear. br>It's a must-have for getting your pool under control and keeping it that way as a maintenance additive.
This clearly works for a lot of pools, but it didn't work for me. I had already killed most, if not all, of my algae with massive shock treatments, and the water was crystal clear, but there was still some green on the sides and step area after several brushings. I had hoped that brushing before and after use would remove the remaining discolored areas, but it didn't. So it wasn't effective for my particular problem with green remnants on the sides and steps; I've used Clorox shock and tablets before, and they're excellent. Because my water is crystal clear, I am confident that if you have loose algae in yours, this will be a huge success.
During a phone call about algae maintenance, a Clorox representative recommended it. I wanted to get rid of an algae bloom in the pool, but I ended up buying the maintenance instead of the Xtra Blue. The algae is no longer present after using the Xtra Blue. I filled a 28,000-gallon pool with the entire bottle. You have nothing to be concerned about, buddy. September 2021br>After a long time away from home (with a maintenance person), the pool bloomed once more (due to the extremely hot weather). cal. ) Shock or brushing would do nothing to help, so Clorox came to the rescue once more, both at night and during the day. Excellent work!!.
I couldn't seem to get rid of yellow algae in my above-ground pool. I used a variety of shock treatments and other algaecides, as well as brushing the corners and sides on a regular basis. Nothing appeared to be working. It came back again and again. NO MORE ALGAE AFTER USING THIS PRODUCT! Simply follow the instructions and the tough algae will be gone.
As a result, I developed a case of the dreaded black algae. I'm not sure why people are having such a difficult time getting rid of black algae after using this product; I had prepared my mind for the big task ahead of me for nothing. I followed the instructions to the letter. I simply brushed the liner clean as usual, and the black algae was gone in less than 24 hours.
Clorox Algaecide restored the clarity and blueness of the water in just 24 hours, and it's very easy to use. When your filter pump is running, you simply pour in the recommended amount and watch the algae disappear. You don't have to follow a complicated regimen like Leslie's Pool's, which calls for several expensive chemicals and numerous, time-consuming steps. If you have a problem with algae, this product is a must-have.
