No, it is not going to kill your grass. But why are you draining your pool in the first place? After you've finished with this, double-check that your chemicals are still balanced, and then get some FLOC. Add as directed, then turn your pump off for 24 hours after it has been running in your pool. After 48 hours, everything should have settled to the pool's bottom, where you can vacuum it out; Make sure you waste your filter, which is exactly what we did with great success. Best of luck!

Not all, but the majority. What I like about this product is that, despite my experience with many other algaecides, it's the only one where I've seen a significant difference in the elimination of green algae. It also foams less than other brands and leaves a less chemical odor in the water, whereas other algaecides we've used have left a lingering odor in the water for weeks. It also gives the water a slight blue tint, as you can see in the photos I've attached, which I haven't noticed in other brands. It gives a clearer aqua blue tint to our otherwise naturally green reflective casting pool. We would have chosen a blueish pebble instead of the sandy beach (PebbleTec brand) if we had known before we chose this pool finish that it would have a natural reflective cast of slightly green. I'm sold on this algaecide brand, and I don't see any reason to switch. The following is what the manufacturer has to say about the contents of this product:br>Question: Will this cause people's hair to turn green, like a copper algaecide I tried before?br>Answer: Hello, Clorox Pool and Spa products are manufactured by us. Please contact us if you have any additional questions or concerns. 800- SOS- POOL. br>Posted on June 27, 2018 by Clorox Pool and Spa MANUFACTURERbr>On the bottle I received today, August 4, 2019, it says: Poly: 5%; Pentahydrate of copper sulfate: 07% (metal copper 3. 3%); Other: 43%
THIS FORMULA IS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THAT SHOWN ON AMAZON. If I wanted to use elemental copper as an algaecide, there are a lot of brands out there that offer a lot more bang for my buck. The flat-footedness is the most upsetting aspect. both in the manufacturer's comments and in the ingredients listed on the bottle for sale, there is a clear misrepresentation of the chemical formula. br>I'm disgusted to the point of rage.
My water has never been so crystal clear as it was after the first use of this product. I spent about four hours on it. By washing the pool and my pool filter every day for 5 days, I was able to eliminate all algae. For the first time, I ran the filter for 20 minutes. br> After that, it's a 24-hour period, followed by an 8-hour period Water should be crystal clear after 10 hours. 15,000 gallons of water are held in the pool. br>I used 15 oz the first time and then 1 oz the second time. For a few days, I was number five. Unless it's a fantastic product, I don't normally write a review.
Just as the leaves began to fall in our pool, we missed our regular weekend cleaning. The pool was overrun by green algae a few days later, which we tried to clean several times but which reappeared the next day. When I got it, I put in the recommended amount. The skimmer was clogged with dead algae the next day. The pool was crystal clear after a quick vacuuming. The pool chemistry could be easily adjusted, and everyone could get back to enjoying the pool!.
My above-ground pool's bottom had begun to develop dark green algae patches, and the water had become cloudy. We hadn't been running the pump, for example, as frequently as we should have been. We now have sparkling clear water after a lengthy process. I poured half of the bottle into the pool (more than recommended), brushed the visible algae with a pool brush, and ran the pump for about 8 hours before cleaning the pump filter and repeating the process. The pool shock was then added. The algae had vanished after about two days. The water finally cleared up after about a week. I've been adding the recommended amount of algae eliminator to the pool every week or so and running the pump every day. There haven't been any more issues with algae.
Green and Yellow Algae are both killed by this product. The foam that floats in the water, on the other hand, must be manually removed because it will turn yellow after a few days. This indicates that the dead algae was picked up by the foams. The water will be crystal clear once all of the floating foam/dead algae has been vacuumed out.
Stats: 48" x 16' above-ground pool in full sun in southern California. This cleared our pool in about a day. Within two hours, the pool was "swimmable," and within three hours, the pool was "swimmable. " When swimming, algae in the deeper water (which had gone unnoticed prior to swimming) was strirred, and the pool returned to its previous state. All- It took around three hours to complete everything. To treat our pool, we used 5–5 times the recommended dosage. It took me about two days to finish this. It's worth noting: Our pool's pump isn't very efficient or powerful; This could explain why we needed to use a higher dose and why the algae were stirring. This is a product that I would use again. In addition, I added it to the skimmer right away. I'd put half of the dose in the skimmer and the other half in the deepest part of the pool farthest away from the skimmer return for future use. We treated a severe algae bloom with the entire contents. The photo was taken prior to treatment.
Green algae blooms are suffocated by this product! When it comes to preventing algae, it's not so good. As a treatment, it works wonderfully. This is excellent at breaking down and killing green algae, but not so much as a preventative. Regrettably, the algae on the bottom remains. It has no effect on that. The vacuum should be working, but it isn't. This is something I keep on hand to get rid of those pesky green algae blooms, and it works great. Now all I have to do is get rid of the dead blooms. After use, the water appears to be clearer. It's best to use it right before bedtime and leave it to work all night. Unfortunately, it isn't very effective at keeping algae at bay.
