Questions & Answers

If I don't have the original kit, how can I use this? If I buy it alone, will I be able to save money?

The cheapest way to purchase a complete kit is sometimes to pay the price it needs to be charged per component

What brand of Taylor is this? Is this an equivalent to Taylor?

There is no manufacturing information on the bottles, meaning that all have the Taylor brand on the label.

There is half a bottle of powder left! Does this happen all the time? In my opinion, my others have been very close to being at ?

The current kit I have is out of date and I am looking to buy replacements, so I was confused by how this container is twice as big as the one I already own, yet it has the same amount of weight in it, so you saying that your container is only half full makes sense. Although I was expecting this container to be double the weight of the one I have, I guess there was just a printing error. If it was 20g, it really would have been double, but I guess it isn't. This is very strange that they would not double the amount considering the container size, but the weight I would imagine is correct. Your container is twice the size of mine, yet it only contains half the amount as mine (10g). So I can certainly imagine why yours is only halfway

Can I use the original bottle that comes with the kit if the drop size is the same? Does it seem to me that the drops may be a little larger?

Observationally, the nozzle of the larger bottle appears to be of the same size as that of the smaller size, and the drops appear to be the same size as well.

We are grateful to Trouble Free Pools for providing us with this great service
5/5

I would like to thank you for assisting me in controlling the chemistry of my pool. Basically, Trouble Free Pools suggested combining liquid chlorine, muriatic acid, and baking soda in order to clean the pool. My method for testing chlorine is to use both the powder and the drops in the refill. Since then, I have added a Taylor magnetic stirrer that can actually stir 10mL (Chlorine), 25mL (Total Alkalinity), and 44mL (PH) of solution. It takes me about six weeks for me to finish all of this powder The pool has been with me for 8 months.

Provides information about organic matter that causes algae to bloom repeatedly
5/5

The kit comes with a portion of powder and the small spoon necessary for measuring it. It is true that I have used other, more expensive brands as well as using them both Taylor's reagent works just like the more expensive brand.

You can use the powder for chlorine monitoring in your swimming pool to measure the level of chlorine to a 50nm measurement. You keep getting an algae bloom from your pool, but you keep cleaning it and it comes back. But here's a solution. Make sure you remove all automatic chemical equipment from the system during this test so that no new chemicals are added. Check chlorine levels in the water at least 30 minutes after you add During the early morning hours before the sun rises, measure again the chlorine level in your pool. Make sure the measurements are the same. You need to check the free chlorine level in the pool every 30 days if the free chlorine level drops by more than 1ppm between the two. If your pool looks very clean and you are unable to pass this test you probably If you want to clean the niche out of your light, either pull the light out and clean it or use a high-pressure water hose to spray water into the niche from the top, then rinse until no more algae runs You can repeat the test by cleaning off what comes out of the bottom of the pool the next day. You will probably get the best results from your pool if all the other chemical readings are good and you fix the organic material issues.

A new version of the 0870 revised review has been published! A description of this item states that it offers "over 100 tests"
4/5

The R- is used in slightly over one scoop Despite using up 2 scoops of the testing solution (the instructions for the test indicate 2 scoops), it is almost gone, yet I still have 3/4 of a bottle left. Because I am "slamming my pool" and often use 40 drops for each FAS and DPD test, I do not get the disproportion between the powder and The powder has now been consumed and I must purchase another one. About this matter, I will reach out to Taylor. The following paragraphs have been rewritten We gave the product a 4 out of 5 rating. My contact with Taylor was successful and she promised to check with the tech and get back to me. That is so cool, wow! It took only a few hours for a call back to arrive! scoops per level of drops would be used and that the amount of drops added would depend on the size of each scoop. I believed that this would account for a disproportionate amount of the As such, if you do weekly testing, you might use eight drops, but if you do a slam test you might use ten It would definitely affect the amount of drops you need to take if you take 40 every few hours. Taylor reacted immediately to my mistake and I'm happy to have such a reliable company. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Now that it's a few days after I initially ordered the product, I've ordered it again. The R is this time In the original purchase, we purchased a container of at least 870 gallons - more than twice as much My guess is that there is a quality control issue with the powder quantity. When I placed the empty bottle on my scale, I saw that it weighed With a total weight of 24 grams, the "full container" has been released. The item I ordered was exactly what I wanted. The answer is that, if you receive a bottle and the quantity (by eyeballing it) does not go above the words "DPD POWDER" (mine shows less than the "I size 10g), then you did not receive the correct In my first container, less than 1/4 of the contents were in it. Neither the seller nor the buyer are affected by this There is no question that Taylor has a problem! Still, it's important to remember this. Neither Taylor nor any other retailer will address any product not sold by them directly! It is my hope that this will be helpful to you!.

Packaging is poor, so it cannot be used
3/5

There is the R - As I opened the package, the 0870 DPD Powder container was open and the DPD Powder was spilled all over my countertops and floor. The powder could not be salvaged for use, so I discarded it. As of right now, I'm very unhappy.

One scoop of ice cream might be all you need
5/5

As a result of multiple checks, I find that two modestly rounded spoonfuls of powder give the same results as one. The only time I test for combined chlorine is about twice a month, using two scoops each time. In addition, after performing a number of water tests at pool stores, even when I use new chemical powders and reagents, I often notice that this Chlorine test normally scores near I run a 4-channel setup with 5 PPM on the high side. It doesn't seem like much of a difference all summer long to test the pool at 6 PPM at nighttime, but each.

There was a leak that resulted in lost product
3/5

As a result, there is more leakage around the drip port than around the actual drip port. I lose more product from the leak and need to position the bottle so that I can control the drops going into the test and what drips out.

It's good to date a real person
5/5

I have been using the product for many I received the replacement very quickly, in great condition, and with great tracking information. Testing Cl with this method is the only way to be sure it is accurate. You can throw out these strips or you can leave the color match.

Half of the order has been received
3/5

Please edit Affected by only receiving half of an order, I contacted Amazon. Upon sending the bottle of liquid back, I was told that a new order with powder and liquid would be sent. Yesterday, I received a new order. It's time to mix the liquid again! Please do not order this item, as judging by the recent reviews, they have been sending only liquid and not The following are the dates for 9/3/19 Please accept my apologies, but I was under the impression I was getting both R- and C- There is a difference between 0871 and There was only a R- on my report My intent is to return it if Taylor does not reach out to me on how to make good on this.
