As it is so soft, it is really meant to be used only as a single-use product, and despite the $10 price tag, it is simply not worth the expense. My pool's bottom was covered with calcium deposits, so I scrubbed some of them off with the scrubbing pad, and watched as a gray cloud formed in the water as I scrubbed. The stone shrank to half its original size in a matter of minutes.
When you use this pumice stone to clean the tiles inside the perimeter of my pool at water level, it does remove mineral deposits. In addition, the pumice disintegrates and disperses in suspension in the water, which caused my pool water to become cloudy as well as discolor. It took weeks for the cloudiness in the pool to clear up even after we ran the pump, filters, and Polaris regularly. I would not use it in my pool again, although I suppose it would work great for sinks, toilets, and for any similar applications.
I could have saved money if I hadn't spent that much on that. Do not spend more than $10 on this garbage. Don't waste your money on them, buy the ones that are $1 instead. The pool tile cleaning stone disintegrated similarly to one of the cheap pumice stones although it's specially designed for doing so. I love it when people make fun of me. If I had kept the whole thing, I could have used it on just one tile instead of purchasing ten of the $1 pumice stones Having a clear understanding of what I will receive is at least good.
There is a fountain outside our house that has decorative stone. Over time, it has built up black algae just above the water line, and we have tried everything (we thought) to get rid of it. You can wash with pressure, use chemicals or rub chlorine tablets on your skin. Purchased it on a whim, and it has worked well! As the product runs out rapidly, I'm going to order 30 just to make sure I've got enough to do the job. The problem is. There is really not much point in caring, it does the job when nothing else can. Greetings! Thank you very much!.
It turns out that the calcium is far stronger than the light-based cleaner that I used to remove the water deposits (calcium) from my pool tile. I tried to follow the instructions, but that didn't seem to accomplish anything. The calcium scraped off half of the first four tiles. Yes, I followed them all. A pool is not the place for something like this. A fish tank might be a good place for it. This is something I am not sure about.
