There is no way I can tell what kind of metal it is made of, but I do know it's very sturdy and sharp, so if you poke yourself, it hurts.
You can get by finely brushing leaves with a regular plastic bristle brush instead of a wire brush if you only intend to use the brush for that purpose.
My brushes are stainless steel, and I have never had an issue with them
Generally, we do not have calcium issues here in SWFlorida, but we do experience an occasional algae bloom from time to time. A stainless bristled brush is a good option I use it occasionally for such scenarios

In a few reviews, the tangs were mentioned as being too short or the neck as being too small (I don't remember exactly as that was a few days ago and I'm not looking at these right now), but I figured they could do something better. Not at all. My pool has been maintained myself for 15 years and until I started using this brush, I have never had any of the equipment (net, skimmer, brush, etc. ) just pop right off and fall to the bottom of the pool (deep end, Although I saw it was a little loose fitting in the pole, I think it's great nonetheless. It has too short tangs However, they don't really stick out of the holes in the pole very far) and the neck is too small to fit the pole well. As it rattles inside the pole, it makes a lot of noise. When I am done with it, I will modify it myself and it will work as expected. The neck dimensions are incorrect, so how can you do that? In all, it appears to be a solid heavy duty pool brush. Also, when it can be kept in the pole, it does a good job on the yellow mustard algae that I worried was going to be missed when I used.
It didn't take long for algae to grow on the gunite surfaces since I didn't open the pool until now. There was no problem taking care of it with this brush. Using the metal bristles to scrub off the algae is effective- Better than the rubber scrubbers on my robot, which were ineffective. The brush is made well and has a decent build quality. Although I attached 1 star to it because I am not confident the bristles will work effectively in corners and edges because the angle of the bristles on the sides is not great.
This new brush intrigued me and I was eager to use it to clean my plaster swimming It arrived quickly, and I easily snapped it into use on the pole, but it promptly began losing bristles as soon as it touched the bottom of the pool. There were individual bristles as well as chunks of bristles falling out. About 5 minutes of usage was all I needed. did not abuse the item by pressing too hard or pressing too hard. When it came into contact with my pool bottom, it simply fell apart. As you can see in the photo, I was able to collect a large quantity of loose bristles from my pool bottom after just 5 minutes of use. As my bare feet dig into the floor I'm sure there will be more loose bristles that I find as they stick to my It is not advisable to use this product unless you want a sharp metal wire to decorate the bottom of your pool.
Despite the fact that I ordered something that is no less a piece of junk, I have to mail it back to its origin. My wire brush had a missing part and was unstable I have no idea what kind of wire brush it would accommodate. It has been a pain in the butt while taking up my time, causing frustration and cost me Would you be willing to recommend a brush head handle that will be compatible with the brush head I purchased? I think it would be best if the company provided a handle that would fit the wire head to buy.
It fell apart in a matter of The first use of this device caused it to fall apart. My attention was drawn to the mostly positive reviews and I decided to disregard Some people just like to complain about a basic item, so this one didn't seem like a big deal. As I vacuum up the metal bristle debris from my pool floor, I find that they have accumulated. In other words, the above statements are A few clumps of bristles were dislodged by a quick test before getting to work. It's a bummer.
Since the return window has closed, I am unable to return the item. The following picture shows you what I mean. Buying this cheap pot metal is the thinnest pot metal I've ever seen (I've been using metal pool brushes for over You should run! This is the first time I have It is very common for bristles to WalMart brushes are not even close. have no idea how this is possible.
The additional effort to brush was to be expected, but there were some issues with it. While in use, there is some play in the brush when it is inserted into the extension pole (loosely In normal circumstances, this would not be an issue, however, the tabs extending from the pole holding the brush head (a plastic piece that shapes like a V) are not long enough to account for the amount of movement experienced while Due to this, the brush frequently falls into the pool when it comes loose. The tabs on other equipment will not work on this as the tabs themselves go through the pole along with the large push buttons. In the case of a failure to solve the problem, there will be a waste of resources.
The Millard's pool brush left clean trails along the floors and walls of my pool. The wire bristles contained enough stiffness to preserve their original form after multiple uses, which I expected would result in the bristles being bent back and rendered useless after a few uses. The product is well-made Delivery in a timely manner!.
