SORARA Carport 10 x 20 ft Heavy Duty Canopy Garage Car Shelter with Windows and Sidewalls, Beige

This product was purchased to keep my boat dry in the Seattle area during the rainy season. It's only been up for about a month, but it's already leaking water. My boat is filling up with water. If you want to keep your equipment dry, I wouldn't suggest it.

The putting together went well. It took me about an hour to put it up. It took me 5 hours to put it together, and I'd never done anything like it before. Not the promised 40 minutes, but with a second person and some practice, it could be done in that time; the poles click together, and the instructions were adequate. br>br>The windows are screen with a Velcro-secured flap that rolls up out of the way when not in use. When it came to how well the flap lined up with the opening, it was a bit hit-or-miss. br>br>On one end, there is a single zipper on both ends, and the plan was to roll up the door and secure it with a few Velcro straps. This necessitated the assistance of a second person in order to begin rolling that long length. My Honda CR-V fit through the opening just fine. To fit under the V. br>br>On the other end, there was a third zipper in the center that allowed the two halves to be opened separately and all the way to the peak, providing more clearance. It's impossible to have only one flap open without securing the other half, which would necessitate the use of a grommet in the corner. br>br>A zipper holds the long end of the bag with the door closed. Don't overtighten the cross bar when putting it together. The door's support bars aren't reinforced on the door side, and they can easily be crushed. br>br>It feels strong and sturdy now that it's all put together. With the exception of the two long edges, the interior of the structure was mostly dry. Water was getting in through the stitching on both sides of a seam that runs the length of the garment. Along the two long walls, water was kept to within a few inches.

I'm not sure what the SORARA Carport 10 x 20 ft advertisement means when it says "Heavy Duty. " There's a lot that needs to be done to make this item storm-proof. Sides and window coverings are held together by 1/2 inch Velcro with zero cross bracing. Zippers are useful for closing doors, but they should also be used to close windows. I was dissatisfied with the price. Structure, Velcro corners, pole straps, and window covers will all need to be reinforced. Carport is worried that it won't last a year without a lot of changes to improve its structural integrity. (The expense is not justified. ).

They never send what they say they're going to send. The roof is connected to the ground by a series of small loops. They detach themselves quickly. This happened the first year, and I informed them that I required a new roof, as well as the replacement of all of the sidewalls, which had holes and damage. Only a roof was delivered to me. This year, the loops snapped again, but they say they won't send me a roof this year because they didn't send me one last year. The manufacturer offers a two-year warranty, but they don't seem to understand English and don't seem to honor it. This year, I reminded them of the holes in the side walls' seams and fabric, which had been present since the first year. They only sent me one side wall and three end walls. That's one more end wall and one fewer side wall than I require. They deny that anything went wrong. I began leaving messages about this on October 1, but they have sent so many messages back and forth from China, arguing with me and forgetting what I have already explained, that I have now passed the 2-month mark. They say I'll have to purchase missing parts on the one-year anniversary of my purchase. I purchased the 4-pack. So now I'll see if it's any good after a year of protection.

Surprisingly, my package arrived relatively quickly. Several poles, however, were damaged, and two were missing. I should have just returned it at that point, but I was short on space. When I contacted the company, they informed me that new supports would take about a month or two to arrive. That was seven months ago, and there have been no responses. The stakes they provide are useless because they come out of the ground when it's wet and windy. Unlike the majority of other portable garages, the legs do not have cross sections. If you live in an area where there is no wind, this might be a viable option. If you do decide to buy, wait until you've checked for any damaged parts before putting it together, and make sure you get large anchors and stronger tie down ropes. good luck.

The polls were strong, but if you're going to get this, make sure you can secure it. The steaks were used, but the shelter was lifted and blown over during a thunderstorm. All of the poles were bent, and the tarp was ripped. I believe it would have held up better if it had been bolted down. I'll have to look for a new place to stay now.

This was complete and total nonsense. This thing was destroyed by a winter with 2" of snow, while I watched a $100 wonder from Harbor Freight take 3 feet of snow from the next snowfall in New York. They are still valid today. I'm kicking myself for spending so much money on this! Thank you for reimbursing me a small amount of money for my embarrassment; the amount I paid was insufficient to compensate for the losses.
